I think so, and I wonder who here can admit it.
This is assuming Bernie loses the nomination, of course.
And he may not, but he probably will.

(7,405 posts)But here's the issue that scares the living hell out of me.
Trump is changing the decision making vectors in politics. I haven't nailed it down in my own mind but he's forcing people to make different decisions.
There is NO question HRC is far far far (did I say far) more qualified to do the job than anyone in the race. And for those who make their decisions on qualifications, she's a no brainer. But let's not forget the popularity of Dancing with the Stars, Survivor, The Biggest Loser, or The Bachelor...those folks aren't thinking about qualifications. I don't know what the f*ck they're deciding on but this campaign is going to be work, that's for sure.
If Trump successfully turns this into a race between insiders and outsiders...this could get ugly. Think Blackberry. It was a chitty phone but it killed market leader Motorola just by changing the decision vectors.

(27,787 posts)There has ALWAYS been a small and angry contingent here who thinks the country will never embrace their version of utopia until the economy totally crashes and capitalism is no more. Anytime the DOW drops over 200 points they see their fantasy future racing towards us.
Meanwhile ... you call this "Bernie's revolution" ... which is nonsense.
Back in 2014, the "revolution" as you call it wanted Warren, not Bernie. Warren said "No", so Bernie said "Ok, I'll do it."
Back in 2011, the "revolution" wanted a primary challenge of Obama. Of course the "revolution" lacked an actual candidate.
The reason the "revolution" fails is because it does not have the determination to build up an ARRAY of "acceptably liberal" candidates at all levels. Instead, the "revolution" waits for a Warren, or a Sanders to step up and slay the dragon.
Its not a winning strategy.
farleftlib
(2,125 posts)Like the DNC putting all their eggs in one basket and supporting only one candidate.
The most distrusted politician ever. The Republicans will make hay with her idiotic and
illegal decision to conduct the country's most delicate and confidential business on an
unsecured server. She's toast and it's not Bernie supporters' fault. It's gonna be a beat
down because people will come out in droves to vote against her and it's not us.
JoePhilly
(27,787 posts)The DNC exists to help Democrats get elected. You might argue as to whether they are good at that job, but that is irrelevant.
Bernie decided to become a Democrat and by doing so, has to follow the same rules as any other Democrat.
As for the GOP "making hay" ... I'm sorry, but did you sleep through the Obama Presidency? The GOP will crucify ANY candidate we put forward. Its what they do. The funny thing is, they've been trying to crucify Hillary for more than 2 decades, and she's still standing, and still kicking ass.
The email thing is nonsense, and everyone knows it. Sure, the RW will masturbate itself into a frenzy over it. And some Bernie fans hang all their hopes on it ... but no one else cares. Consider that official government email servers have been HACKED. Hillary's server, was not hacked. Its a scandal in which nothing actually happened.
As for "fault" with Bernie supporters. Who gives a shit? We need another Dem in the White House, period. So sure, you can stay home and pout, or only vote down ticket, or vote green or some other nonsense party.
As I explained earlier ... you guys aren't in for the long haul anyway. The "revolution" is fickle.

(14,498 posts)I'll say this: I'd like to have a better sense of what a President Trump would do wrt foreign policy.
Clinton is a clear and present danger to world peace.
Lots of (non-white) people are going to die, unnecessarily, under a Clinton presidency. ( I include "non-white" because there's a chance it it will catch the attention of some portion of a huge portion her slavish, star-struck political fan-base.)
This we know by what she's said, and by what she's done. Over many years.
Trump is a tabula rasa...Christ, Clintonites, look it up if you don't know what it means.... in spite of his vague/wild/ pronouncements re.
ISIS, etc.
