NYT: Trump would need to improve by 10 points to win

Based on the current numbers it's 347-191

If those numbers hold, Mrs. Clinton would take all of the states that President Obama won in 2012, as well as North Carolina (which he won in 2008), putting her far over the 270 electoral votes needed to win.

If Trump improved by 5 points, it would be 285-253.

He would win Florida, North Carolina and Ohio, but he would still lose the election.

If he improved by 10 points, it would be 233-305

In that scenario, Mr. Trump would win five additional battleground states that Mitt Romney lost in 2012, a big swing in the electoral map that would leave him with roughly 30 electoral votes to spare.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) has continued to close in on Hillary Clinton — several national primary polls in the last week have shown his support rising to its highest point of the campaign. Sanders’ polling numbers have climbed since he entered the race, and Clinton’s previously substantial lead has dwindled to a 10-point margin in the HuffPost Pollster average.

Very frightening when you look at the numbers.

Sanders had room for growth. Trump does not.
