It is apparently fact that polling, ahead of schedule, for general elections are reliable while polling for primaries is more questionable.

many of us won't admit it. It's designed to protect the establishment from the ground up, and that is exactly what it's doing. The will of the voters be damned....they're not "registered" properly, or their registration was mistakenly changed...boo hoo.

Exit polls are an exceptionally accurate measure of elections. In the last three elections in Germany, for example, exit polls were never off by more than three-tenths of one percent. Unlike ordinary opinion polls, the exit sample is drawn from people who have actually just voted. It rules out those who say they will vote but never make it to the polls, those who cannot be sampled because they have no telephone or otherwise cannot be reached at home, those who are undecided or who change their minds about whom to support, and those who are turned away at the polls for one reason or another. Exit polls have come to be considered so reliable that international organizations use them to validate election results in countries around the world.

I'm wondering if there are any organizations like verifiedvoting.org mounting investigations into suspect elections? (Other than the AZ efforts like this one.)

too much. But the case of Arizona clearly involved criminal fraud--using signatures from drivers licenses to change the registration of Dems--that appears to have mainly benefited Clinton. I originally thought this was Republican voter suppression, but it doesn't seem to make sense.

But truthfully the entire political system seems to be designed to limit choices to a narrow spectrum of political views.

They have always been erratic...people lie...and the sample is not good. What difference does it make...only poll that matters is the one on election day.
