?w=640How is it that "only establishment Dems are allowed to vote?" Are you saying that all registered Democrats are "establishment Dems?" Do you really think that little of the Democratic party?
beedle
(1,235 posts)the demographics of your average registered Democratic Party member skews heavily toward 'establishment'.
I'm very impressive though how strict you are in handing those things out ... how many would you give to Hillary for her 'sniper fire' claim?
nolawarlock
(1,729 posts)I don't have enough room in my sig file for every lie or alleged lie every candidate has ever told. I prefer to keep it current.
It's clear that many of these alleged Democrats are actually the third party types.

(15,720 posts)Yes the pope gave a speech in October. No he didn't mention Sanders and had no reason to. If you have evidence otherwise please post it.
p.s. English translation of the complete speech here: http://en.radiovaticana.va/news/2015/10/24/pope_francis_addresses_synod_of_bishops_at_conclusion/1181854

(45,251 posts)quote the Pope as saying anything about elections. The link says it and a statement in the article says it, but nothing in quotation marks and attributed to the Pope mentions elections.
There is even a snopes on this. http://www.snopes.com/pope-francis-endorses-bernie-sanders/
However, the Pope probably has said something nice about Bernie at some point.

(3,411 posts)Seriously, that's some kinda issue there. Screen shots of rec lists? Really?
Do you fancy yourself as some kinda hall monitor, waiting for a chance to sidle over to the principal and tell him, sotto voce, who's been smoking in the bathroom? Mebbe pass on a list of the Bernies that have - gasp! - rec'd a fucking thread? Will it get someone a chance to be in the CoolKidsClub if they show a willingness to make lists (cue music - dadadumdumduuuuum!) of the stoners out behind the bleachers?
This place is going to hell in a hot hurry, lately.
Yeah. I've thought about it. I'm hitting 'post my reply' anyway. Somebody has to say it.

It was a wonderful way to see who endorsed SC's POC being labeled as part of the master-slave mentality, regardless of a petulant, child-like desire to see a Cool Kids Club.
(I imagine a most creative rationalization to follow soon...)

(3,411 posts)People rec for many reasons. They rec abhorrent stories that they think others should read. They rec threads that they agree with. They rec threads that they disagree with, to ensure they don't sink before others see them. All kinds of reasons.
Imma gonna check to make sure I rec'd this one. Not because I agree with the satire, but to make just this point.
I get your point about seeing the OP you posted. But NOT the continuing use of the cudgel with any thread disgreed with. Especially those as innocuous as this one. That's thought policing, Republicanism at it's finest. YMMV.

(45,251 posts)ten years ago, it's not the person who did the rec or the original post I worry about.
Especially rec'ing. A rec doesn't even necessarily mean you agree with the article. I've rec'd things I hated because I wanted to make sure peple saw them.

(5,636 posts)The National Report is a fake news site, as is USAToday.com.co, the shill site the National Report uses to attempt to lend credibility to National Report's fake, clickbaiting stories by reposting them to a domain mimicking that of the legitimate USA Today news outlet.
National Report has spread fabricated stories reporting that Michigan was taking in thousands of Syrian refugees, that FEMA's first "camp" had opened in Arizona, that the band R.E.M. sued Donald Trump, that President Obama was awarded a second Nobel Peace Prize, and that a Christian pastor was jailed for refusing to officiate a same-sex wedding.

(30,481 posts)As long as one's economic message comes close to Sanders all else is excused. Misogynist, bigoted, and racist behavior can be glossed over with an eye on the economic message alone. I am not calling the Pope a racist. I am calling him the leader of an organization that promotes misogyny and bigotry across the globe. But get excited, he has an economic message that we like.
