Jennifer Lopez ain't your mama, but she is the everywoman's sister.

The 46-year-old pop star released the music video for "Ain't Your Mama" Friday morning and it has everything: time travel, product placement, denim chaps, a dance break—you name it! The clip opens with a glamorous but distraught Lopez using a payphone and arguing with her good-for-nothin' boyfriend. It's raining, literally and figuratively, and by the time Lopez returns to work so she can deliver the nightly news, she can't be bothered to touch up her appearance. Her message is that important.

Before Lopez goes on-air, though, a sample from Hillary Clinton's speech at the United Nations Fourth World Conference on Women is played.

"Human rights are women's rights, and women's rights are human rights, once and for all," the Clinton, then the First Lady, said in 1995. "It's our time to have wage equality once and for all, and equal rights for women in the United States of America. This is no simple reform. It really is a revolution."

Feeling inspired, Lopez addresses housewives and working women from the '50s through today. She plays each of the women she addresses, embodying each new character with a colorful costume and a wild wig.

"Look, I don't have to tell you things are bad. Everybody knows things are bad: taken for granted, ignored, overlooked, underappreciated. We have a big problem, ladies," newscaster Lopez says. "First, you've got to get mad. You know what? Get up out of your chair. Go to the window, open the door, stick your head out and yell...I want you to get up. Get up out of your chairs and yell: 'I ain't your mama!'"
