Wishful thinking on the part of Bernies supporters

(112 posts)She is "winning" through election fraud and other dishonest tactics.
Some people actually don't consider that "winning".

(13,340 posts)Amiright? That was the mantra among the sore losers on the right. And now Sandernistas are adopting that tactic too.

(13,889 posts)Being in denial about the outcome isn't going to alter it. By all means you should work to secure the outcome you desire but if you fail then you also need to accept that fact when it happens. On past form, some people (not you particularly) don't handle that part well and tend to throw themselves to the ground and lie there complaining about hippie punchers. For the rest of us this is unpleasantly like dealing with a toddler tantrum at the supermarket.

They're like gnats. Shoo! Annoying, but they won't spoil the picnic.

Here's a better quote, and this one's from me: "She will win and I know why. You will soon understand the benefit of it."

(1,214 posts)Perhaps the reason Sanders supporters don't back Clinton is because we understand her, and who will benefit.
Furthermore, the op is right about the "tone" from HRC supporters on DU.
Fawke Em
(11,366 posts)None.
She is a neocon, a war hawk, beholding to the wealthy and will make such a horrible president for the working and middle classes that women will be set back for years.
Ever wonder why there's not been a female Prime Minister since Thatcher?

(24,411 posts)and that's when they'll realize they're screwed.
The Clinton camp knows they treated Bernie and his supporters like dog shit. So, they've moseyed on over to the Republican side to scrounge up some support and votes. Idiots.
They won't find what they're searching for and they'll become desperate and eventually wander back--trying to win us over with their legendary grace and charm.
Very sad. And we warned everyone about this. She won't be able to cobble together the votes for a win. She polls abysmally with Indies. Republicans can't stand her, and she's abused the Bernie camp seven ways to Sunday.
Little Miss Sunshine will have to try to continue squeezing some votes out of the turnip that is the Republican party.
I will enjoy watching this. After the shenanigans her campaign and her supporters pulled during the primary...we've earned a few chuckles while watching karma bite them all in the hiney.

(12,689 posts)Sanders is trying to get superdelegates to ignore the pledged delegate result. That seems like trying to force voters to submit to someone that they didn't vote for.
