Why are we supposed to care that some anonymous person behaved like an asshole?

If all that's required to prove X is to mention (perhaps not even substantiate) that somebody somewhere sometime was an asshole, I can easily prove everything.

How are these stories we're being spammed with relevant?

The sudden swarm of attacks makes it seem like the Hillary people around here are a lot less certain about HRC's "inevitability" than they let on.

I'll agree that those people are being assholes. Nobody should behave that way.

But how does that connect with the primary race? Am I to reevaluate my opinions on healthcare because somebody was mean to a kid once in a setting that appears to have nothing to do with healthcare? I don't think so.

Does the buck stop with Clinton every time some protester moght act like an asshole at a Trump rally? Perhaps they were inflamed by her criticisms of him. Perhaps the asshole is a Clinton supporter. Is she supposed to apologize every time that happens?

Bernie followers are not haters, Hillary has offended all sorts of folks. Bernie people wouldn't bother going to her venues. Protesters are mainly the disenfanchised, abused and undervalued citizens of this nation and what idiots take their kids to a rally? Really stupid parents. Wait until Trump people show up to protest her, that will be open carry and far fouler language

Sun May 8, 2016, 10:05 PM
May 2016

"a little bit nutty and a little bit slutty" when he hardcore victim blamed and slut shamed a victim of Clarence Thomas's sexual harassment - Anita Hill. (there were other victims, but she was a black professional woman of impeccable character and was brave enough to come forth)

Ever since then I refer to David Brock as "a little bit racist and a little bit salacious"

(David Brock is Clinton's right hand sleaze merchant or personal Karl Rove if you prefer, she must now consider victim blaming and slut shaming acceptable these days)

and the fact that so many threads about the same thing have been spamming DU says it more than anything. I'm afraid it's just more of the dirty, negative campaigning that we've all been subjected to this year. Should Hillary get the nomination expect a doubling of this type of campaigning because this is exactly the kind of campaigning that the Trump supporters love.

Not about the protesters, but on the subject of polling.

They're really fretting about whether Bush donors would be able to get her over the top, should it ( ) come to that, IMO.

The demands for loyalty oaths haven't spiked yet, either, I'll bet.

Obnoxious numbers aside, ALL of the slams have become tiresome.

At this point you're getting some pushback. I'm not sure why you would expect to dish it out for months on end and expect folks to just sit back and take it.

Pretty crappy, no?

I use it mostly for suspicious new members that always post as if reading from a script like it were a job or something, a warning to ignore, rather than engage them, the purpose was a more peaceful less Brock spammed site.

I never thought it was funny, nor do I think the “digital media specialists” are funny.

That graphic is not meant as a joke, but as a warning to help avoid flame wars and nasty division. I don't like flame wars, nasty divisive treads or sub threads and I very much believe propaganda has no place in a Democracy.

Good afternoon. As of today, I am officially a former “digital media specialist” (a nice way to say “paid Internet troll”) previously employed by Hillary Clinton’s campaign (through a PR firm). I’m posting here today as a confession of sorts because I can no longer continue to participate in something that has become morally-indigestible for me. (This is a one-time throwaway account, but I’ll stick around for this thread.)
