Wow, they are REALLY getting desperate and dirty now.

Chris Matthews said on Hardball tonight that normally the candidates send out a press relese and a copy of their ads to the news shows, but now they suddenly aren't, and this latest round of ads are the shadiest yet. There's the false Jeep claim, and now they're pulling the welfare ad back out, also no press release.

And now we've got text-message spam that seems random and not well targeted:

We all knew about the voter suppression and everything else but it seems this last week they will be ramping up and pulling out every dirty trick in their dirty little book. I'm sure we haven't seen or heard of everything yet either :/

It's really pissing me off to the point that I might actually try to volunteer this week.

But I don't know what your issue with the avatar is. I can't really make out the stuff under it but maybe you know

There's a site that uses that avatar called the Old Elm Tree, consists mostly of members who were banned from this site and who support third parties over Obama and Democrats.

Long history.

I actually like their tree avatar.

Take care!

They figure they've got nothing to lose now. Except the Presidency, of course.

time is running out to save America, blah blah blah....

they are so fuggin desperate! they're throwing the kitchen sink. They're terrified they'll lose. I can't wait for them TO lose! They say it'll be the end of America... we'll see how they handle the loss... like extremists or like Americans, as we did in 2000.

the more you repeat it, the unthinking/uneducated will believe it. It's an old trick. It goes a long way back. Think of any regime or coup d'etat over the last 200 years? You will probably find this tactic in one form or another. Unfortunately, it only takes the repetition to get a certain measurable response.
