If you could offer each Democratic presidential candidate one piece of advice, what would it be?

I would suggest to Senator Sanders that he forget about "Free College For All"
It would just be too expensive, and it would cost him too many votes.
Trump must be defeated.
THAT should be the primary goal of both candidates.
Instead of "free college for all" to help needy college students, how about a sizable increase in funding for the Federal Work Study Program, (with the approval of Congress, of course)?
This could be funded by a surtax on the top 1 percent.

I would suggest to Secretary Clinton that she not shout at the top of her lungs while giving speeches.
I listened to her on Face The Nation yesterday.
She was talking in her "normal" voice to John Dickerson, and, in my opinion,
SHE SOUNDED GREAT!!!
However, later on, I heard part of a speech she gave, and her voice was more of a loud "shriek" ..
I didn't want to hear what she was saying because of that "shriek"
I had to turn off the radio!
I was a "Hillary supporter" in 2008, but I don't remember her "shrieking" like this back then when she gave speeches
This isn't the 19th century, when politicians HAD to shout in order to be heard when giving a speech.
This is the 21st century, and we have very sensitive microphones to use when giving speeches.
I like Secretary Clinton...I really do!
But if her "shrieking" bothers ME this much, how must it sound to Independents, or supporters of Sen. Sanders, or even moderate Republicans who might want to vote for her over Donald Trump?

Mr. Trump MUST be defeated, and every speech Secretary Clinton gives should, in my opinion, be given in a calm, relaxed voice...the same voice she used on "Face The Nation" when talking to host John Dickerson.
THAT's the Hillary Clinton I worked for back in 2008.

Donald J. Trump should be the only one shouting at the top of his lungs when giving speeches during this presidential campaign...the same way Adolph Hitler shouted out HIS hate-filled speeches back in the 1930s.

Am I alone here?

Does anyone else feel this way?

1. A couple thoughts

I think Hillary should return to the vast right wing conspiracy to respond to all the bullshit thrown at her. She should not defend each scandal, but simply point out they were ALL Republican generated, ALL Republican promoted, ALL Fox "news" exaggerated, ALL taxpayer funded, and ALL resulted in virtually nothing against Hillary.

I think Bernie needs to bring someone prominent and very well spoken on stage, and begin laying the groundwork for that person to assume a leadership role, if not The leadership role, in the movement that Bernie currently leads.

We know it's true. But not everyone cares. I hate to break it to some people here, but, she brought *some* of it on herself. As I used to tell an ex gf "If you've got nothing to hide then why are you hiding it?" (Turns out my ex had plenty to hide).

But most importantly: I think it would come off as too much "Woe is me, I'm such a victim". Remember all the flak she took for the "vast right-wing conspiracy" remark. And then it was 100% legit (it still is).

The American people sympathize with victims. But I don't think they'ld elect someone who they perceive to have a victim complex as President.

2. Free college is possible

Just take the money given to the one percenters (so-called research grants to college professors, free money to non-profit groups, corporate welfare) and use it for paying salaries of professors and ban colleges that receive federal money from charging tuition. That is all it takes. Free college works in Germany.

My advice to Hillary would be to drop out of the race and endorse Bernie because she is just not qualified to be President and seems to be overawed and dependent on her aides for everything.

Trump can fuck himself.

He's very good in bed, he's terrific in bed, he really is. He is extraordinary in bed.

He would give himself a fucking that he would, I'm telling you, he would never forget the fucking that he would give himself.

Be in it FOR the people; not for Wall Street, or big corporations, or your highest donors, or for money, or for power, or for greed.

The Clintons sold out a long time ago.

I also would like Bernie to modify (not completely axe) free college for all. Or explain it better. Does he mean four years anywhere for anyone including a rich kid at an Ivy League school? IMO, free four years to any college is too expensive and impractical. Two years free at a community college? Absolutely! A large subsidy for four years at a state university? That sounds very doable. Four years anywhere? Even for rich kids? Nah.

And Bernie: Please stop pointing. Instead of emphasizing your point it makes you look silly.

And like you, my biggest critique of Hillary is stylistic. Too often she shouts with almost no inflection when she doesn't have to. As Tweety said (I know, irony alert): "The microphone works". The shouting gives the impression that she's fighting to be heard when she doesn't have to. Which tends to subconsciously reinforce the impression that she's see herself as a victim being talked over by those big, bad men. People sympathize with victims but they don't elect them President.

Or sometimes she seems to talk down to the audience and over enunciate like she's talking to a small child.

When she strikes a happy medium she sounds great. Remember, in the back of every voters mind is "This person's gonna be on my TV lots over the next four years. Am I OK with that?". I know it's totally superficial. But many, many Americans put a way too much empasis on style over substance.
