I remember Watergate well and it's very similar.

Before this is said and done, Mrs. Clinton's career will be over too. And like Nixon, it will be all of her own doing, a self-inflicted wound.

The question is, how far will we all be dragged down with her? Those who insist on taking this risk are forcing us who don't want to, to take the consequences of the bet they're making anyway. That's what I resent.

The Dem leadership has settled for a candidate who is so compromised and so loathed outside
of her little elite bubble, that she probably couldn't win this election without the scandals. She ran
a rogue State Department by ignoring the President and setting up a system that was supposed to
fly under the radar but is now being taken apart and examined bit by bit. She thinks she's above
the law but by everything I've read so far, it seems she's broken several and perjured herself too.

I hope and pray this is the last we ever see of her. I'd even get over a pardon if that would get rid
of her and her husband forever.

21. I talked to a few Republcians during my graduate school days

they remember the way their parents (yes young republicans) could not believe this was heading that way. In the end some of the arguments were familiar, like a Republcians DOJ would never, ever, at all, go after a sitting president. They have been waiting, patiently, to get the opportunity to return the favor...

but the attitudes, when talking about Iran Contra, and the parallels was very eye opening. So the she is pure as freshly fallen snow, is not unlike Nixon and the hyper partisans who supported him until the very bitter end. A year after, you could not find one that would admit supporting Nixon. We will see something similar if this goes that way.
