2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumThis is what I've learned today. Hillary supporters are practical.
They understand that not only is free tuition at public colleges utterly impossible pie in the sky, but "free stuff" is bad, bad, bad. It's soul destroying. Take it from Ayn Rand.
Hillary supporters are practical. They know that diplomacy requires associating with Henry Kissinger, who is not a war criminal and anyway Bernie Sanders is responsible for just as much evil.
Hillary supporters are practical. They know that big money corrupts. But they assure us that Hillary is incorruptible.
Hillary supporters are practical. They know that single payer is impossible. And anyway, we have Obama care.
To paraphrase Eliot, They no longer strive to strive toward such things.

when public colleges were tuition free.
Thought that was why they called them public.

(27,787 posts)... describing what Hillary supporters "think", or "feel", or "are like."
OPs packed with petty insults, weak straw men, mock indignation and self-righteous pontification.
As if such things somehow help their cause in any way.
The reality is that it's this kind of nonsense that caused Hillary supporters to stop taking anything many Bernie supporters seriously.
It's not worth the effort.
Any real argument you might have had is obscured and lost inside the rest of that nonsense.
So stick with that tactic, it's working very well for Bernie.

(27,787 posts)Neither of those are "complex".
In fact, they are easily observable.

(27,985 posts)They never bother to look at anything she actually said or did (unless they can make it look really really really bad), and any answers we offer are taken as an invitation to make more attacks, change the subject, or say "Yeah but who believes her?!"
It's the self-righteous pontification that gets me.

(47,803 posts)Unlikely to ever see the light of day ion the form they are proposed. And she knows it....She just uses a lot of words concocted by her staff to cover emptiness.
Sanders proposed goals and broad plans, and tells us We are going to have to hek,p him fight for those goals if he is elected.
Who is more realistic?

The future lies with Americans who will not be duped by idiot memes that try to convince them that America can't have the societal elements that European countries do just so the Military Industrial Complex and the 1 percent can profiteer.
