Yeah. There seems to be a multi-prong push to demoralize Sanders supporters. Make us feel like it is all for naught.
It ain't working with me. The more of that there is, the more I Feel the Bern.
I know the odds. I don't give a rat's pattootie. I've seen this "punch the hippies" crap towards anyone even slightly left of the Conservative Democrat right of center too many times.
Not this time.
Even if he loses, he wins a moral victory if those who believe in him keep pushing his message and agenda all the way....and beyond.
If you agree, Kick this, don't just "Rec"
And to the inevitable "She's winning. You lose " snark...I say:

(538 posts)stay in lock step & make fools of themselves supporting Trump. Why would anyone in their right mind support a person who was paid 1000's of dollars for speeches she gave to WALL Street & refuses to provide the transcripts & believes she's entitled to be the next President because she's a woman.
Just to name a few!

(80,708 posts)It's funny all the projection from the Hill Folk "you're obviously upset", etc.
This from people who can't get through a week without adding to their already substantial transparency page.
And I'm still supporting Bernie Sanders. Every day he's in he broadens the conversation and helps our party.

(34,057 posts)I could not be happier. The only time I am not happier since I became a Bernie supporter is when I get a little down thinking of how damned depressing it is to think of either Trump or Hillary in that office. Then I snap out of it, send in some money and realize that for the first time in my 6 decade+ life I am actually behind someone I like far far more than I dislike. What a delight it is.

Stick that in Wasserman's ear tonight as the fairies dance around her crooked head. You can't bend it till it fits, Debbie. I'm like that cat and virtually going all the way with this one.
I can also look in the mirror when I get up. Which, when I do, I'll work hard, then phone bank again. We're going all the way, my friends.

(1,701 posts)Yes, indeed there has been a concerted effort to demoralize Sanders voters. It is far too obvious to be successful, but it is annoying. I'm with Bernie until the end! And thank you for this thread!

(24,411 posts)Bernie is hanging in there and doing extremely well. He just won WV by 15 points.
Many, many others feel that this race is not over. And they will be voting!
And yeah...about being "demoralized". I don't think anyone (I know I don't) is affected by what anonymous people write on messageboards. I have yet to hear any Bernie supporter say, "You know, I love Bernie. I've supported him for a long time, but some person on Twitter or Democratic Underground posted a poll that made me sad. I think I'm going for Hillary."
Never happen. Ever.
We are all here for shits and giggle--political entertainment. Anyone who thinks they can keyboard a Sanders supporter to Hillary needs to step away from their keyboard and get some fresh air, right?

(5,700 posts)The same old same old is not working anymore. Bernie is giving people and young people hope, that is what I admire and even though Mrs. Clinton is the presumptive nominee, I hope Mr. Sanders stays in until the convention to make her pull a little bit towards the working class and poor people. Bailing out the rich is not working for poor people!

(9,385 posts)And of course the whole process at the convention. Everybody needs to get a chance to be part of this!
And on from there. I'm sure this is just the beginning.
We have to kick the Kissinger Wing, which Hillary leads and Obama is part of, out of the Dem party and out of any influence in D.C. And quality of life (a general term for Sanders' issues) has to improve for us all, starting now, after sliding so far in so many years.
Without all the thumbs on the scales (announcing the supers from the beginning which isn't supposed to be done, voting and campaign irregularities, near media blackout, Indies being shut out, etc.) there is no doubt in my mind that Sanders would be sweeping this Primary decisively.
And even as it is, 45% of the total is roughly half. That is significant. He is as big a deal in this election and going forward as she is, not someone way behind in the race as the Repub challengers all were. This Primary is and has been roughly a draw, over and over again. It's neck and neck.
And if responsibility mattered anymore, the Dem party wouldn't even LET a candidate under FBI investigation run for the nomination. Her presence in the campaign at all is evidence of the party's corruption.
GO BERNIE!
And to all us Bernie supporters, especially those yet to vote!

I am so grateful to this man and his supporters for the sea changes in US politics that they have made and that I look forward to in the future.

(39,215 posts)The younger generations understand NOW that there is a way out and a lot of us grandparents know it also. And one of the most important lesson that Bernie has taught us is to see just how corrupt the system today is and how to fight back.
The day after the election we become the Movement and not just potential voters. We work to stop anything going through congress that we do not want (TPP, another war, etc.). We start working on the 2018 election. All the things we are working for now. We stick together like Bernie has said.

(166 posts)As a Taoist I'll just say that I think this primary is a great example of what Lao Tzu wrote in the second chapter,
"When all the world recognizes beauty as beauty, this in itself is ugliness.
When the entire world recognizes good as good, this in itself is evil.
No wonder their is a whole camp that thinks that Sanders is the wrong choice, if all of us saw him for the change agent that this country needs then he wouldn't be the change agent that this country needs.

Transmissions will resume
They'll try to push drugs
That keep us all dumbed down and hope that
We will never see the truth around

Another promise, another scene,
Another package lie to keep us trapped in greed
With all the green belts wrapped around our minds
And endless red tape to keep the truth confined
(So come on)
They will not force us
They will stop degrading us
They will not control us
We will be victorious

Interchanging mind control
Come let the revolution take its toll if you could
