As Lawrence just said on MSNBC

"The Speaker of the House is more powerful than the President if he wants to be regarding legislation."

Sanders voters need to understand this, and not become disillusioned with him if he does become the President like they did with Obama.

suspect that as the cycles go on, he will gain more and more support for his ideas. That support will come from newly-elected members of congress, as well as from current members who hear his call.

That all said, I do understand your point. Presidentin' is hard! No doubt about it. I suspect Sanders' wonderful gifts of oratory will allow him to use the bully pulpit quite well. imho

And we are, quite frankly, frightened at the thought that Hillary, who is very frank about having the same values as the GOP she is wooing, might be able to get her Third Way neocon agenda pushed through a willing GOP Congress.

what the Executive branch could do unilaterally to help. I also don't want a President that will "deal" with the Republicans anymore because each step is backward.

I'd see a point to this if it was not the same scenario for any Democrat elected to the WH but there it is the same, no contrast, no advantage with one candidate over the other in terms of moving legislation through Congress. Republicans will resist either, or any other Democrat in that office as much as they can.

OP, why do you think this is unique to Bernie? Got any reason at all for that?

Like LBJ. Sanders spent most of his time as an outsider. But, everyone does bring up a good point. I don't care who wins as long as they beat Trump.
