Trump's 'Crooked Hillary' label may stick

Donald Trump dispatched his Republican rivals by branding each one with an insulting but memorable nickname: “Lyin' Ted” Cruz, “Little Marco” Rubio. As the general election campaign nears, Trump has settled on a label for the likely Democratic nominee: “Crooked Hillary.”

“It works,” he boasted to the New York Times. “It flows.”
The problem for Hillary Clinton is that he may be right.

All campaign long, pollsters have found that many voters — including some Democrats — don't think she's principled.
Maybe it's her four decades in bare-knuckle politics, ancient questions about investment deals in Arkansas, her entanglement in her husband's personal scandals, her decision to set up a private email server when she was secretary of State, her big-dollar fundraising and speech fees — or all of the above.
Fairly or not, Clinton can't shed her history.

In a Quinnipiac poll of swing states released this week, 69% of Ohio voters said they didn't think Clinton was honest and trustworthy, a daunting number.

Sanders supporters have been screaming these types of stats for months.

Did the LA Times just now notice that the country doesn't trust her and she is a weak candidate?

Yes, 69 percent of Ohio voters don't think she's honest and trustworthy. Yes, that is daunting. And guess what...Clinton's numbers have tanked 20 points since she began this election. The more people get to know her, the more she tanks.

It's just going to get worse.

Bernie is the only candidate who can beat Trump.

I think it was "crazy Bernie, or Crazy Sanders", that one might stick also.

With right wing trolls, and all the fake Sanders supporters who work for Karl Rove. I guess there could be some people who are "gullible" enough to believe the trolls, but they probably were never "real" Democrats, Liberals, or Progressives in the first place.

...between advocating for a Democrat in our primary, and giving aid and comfort to the republican opposition.

It's no secret that Sanders' campaign has mirrored the republican assault on Hillary, often using the exact same messaging in the millions of dollars the right-wing has spent on advertising alongside Sanders in most of the major primary states.
