Delusional Hillary promising old suckers free healthcare beginning at 50...Or is she? Who knows?

It's the ever equivocating Hillary who has no compus. But desperate old people eat this shit up. Tell the old people more lies, they'll fall for it.

Hillary Clinton Says She’s Weighing Medicare for 50-Year-Olds

Hillary Clinton has spent months berating rival Bernie Sanders for proposing a single-payer, government-run health-care plan, sticking to her more modest proposals aimed at lowering costs and saying she has no interest in another nasty legislative battle over health care.

Now, as she tries to close out her primary contest against the Vermont senator, she is floating a new idea: allowing people as young as 50 to buy into Medicare, the health plan that serves those ages 65 and up.

Profits for the insurance and drug monsters.Globalization and a guest worker system thats been compared to slavery will make it cheaper for the payers. But that profit wont trickle down to doctors or nurses or lower prices. The whole point of this insanity is to prevent falls in prices.

You know...Clinton and her supporters have been bashing on Bernie's plan to provide healthcare as "unrealistic ponies" and now she proposes a variation of the same thing to pander to the middle age demographic....

But not really proposing it, just sorta thinking about it, maybe perhaps in typical legalistic waffling designed to make voters think she might, but giving herself plenty of wiggle room if she needs to change her position for a different audience

If she actually believed in this proposal -- Why the hell didn't she state it clearly at the start, and press for it instead of ignoring that option and bashing Sanders idea of opening up Medicare as an unrealistic pony?

That is a very important shift in her position.

One could reasonably argue that it is a reasonable approach as a step. IMO it's a half measure, but at least it's something.

But the fact that she is only trotting it out now indicates that she'll say anything to pander to Sanders supporters and close out the primary. It also indicates that she'll only broach anything like this when absolutely necessary for political purposes.

Worse yet, she's doing it in her usual "this but that...it's worth maybe considering..." style. Couching it in such vague and oblique terms that people can take whatever they want from her statement. She supports the idea, but not really. ...That allows her to walk it back in the General when she wants to seem more "moderate" to appeal to the conservatives.

We recognize the verbiage. It's clear.

But I do agree with what you have written here. I'm going to assume that is because your ideology is based in progressive/socialist thinking.

That is not the direction these hit pieces are coming from and they almost always let the hate shine through letting us know who they truly are aligned with.

I was given no special treatment. The rules are in place for all. Nice deflection.

Also, my grandson, 21, knows Bernie is not talking about "free" health care, Bernie is talking about health care paid for by taxes. And he is all on board for paying more taxes, for single payer. Actually, he believes taking some of the incredible amounts of our tax money that the MIC sucks out of our pocketbooks would pay for it, too.
