I still have a lot of reasons for hating Christie.

Positions he's taken, lies he's told about Obama, etc. Not to mention his pugnacious to-hell-with-anyone-who-disagrees-with-me personality.

BUT I finally figured out how he got elected in NJ. He does have the ability to project empathy -- something entirely unknown to Mitt Romney. When he was comforting some of the victims today, he knew exactly how to talk to them, how to listen, how to hold them and just comfort with his presence.

Bill Clinton is an expert at this. Obama is infinitely better than Romney.

But Christie's got it, too. As obnoxious as he is sometimes (and he makes me want to smack him, most of the time), he seems like an actual human being.

8. That was exactly what I thought when I saw him praising Obama yesterday.

I figure he is angling to run in 2016. If Romney wins, that will not happen, as Romney will surely opt for a second term.....unless, like when he was Gov. of Mass, he screws up so bad that he knows he can't be re-elected! So Christie gives a push to Obama (much to Mitt's chagrin, I am sure) and is crossing his fingers that in 2016 there is an opening for him to throw his hat in the ring.

I agree he is an overbearing boor and will make a horrible president with his brash personality. But for his praise of the President, I say thanks, we'll take all the help we can get to get our man in the winners circle!! And yes, he is better at relating to people than Mitt would ever be even with a thousand hours of Charm School.

Christie was lying & The AC mayor offer to beat him up....

Mayor Lorenzo Langford. The mayor pushed back against Christie's criticism that he had failed to protect residents of his city.

The mayor, in a phone interview, told "Today" host Matt Lauer, "I would love nothing better than that, than to confront the governor mano a mano."

Christie stood by his criticism on Monday, saying on "CBS This Morning," "The mayor told folks they could shelter in city shelters as a last resort" even after the governor's office sent 75 buses to take residents out of the

Christie is only being nice cause he is up for election in 2013.

I'd like to see the A/C mayor beat his fat ass.

5. I'm inclined to think that the CC mayor did not do enough to evacuate his town

and that he did send a mixed message when he set up shelters for those who chose to defy the state's evacuation order.

http://www.philly.com/philly/news/20121027_Atlantic_City_opening_four_shelters.html

Atlantic City announced it will maintain four shelters for residents who do not evacuate the coastal city because of Hurricane Sandy. Five other shelters will be available on the mainland for evacuees from the barrier islands.

"We want our residents to take every precaution to get out to town if they can," Atlantic City Mayor Lorenzo Langford said. "If they can't or won't, then at least go to a shelter."

I'm just saying that, with all his many obvious flaws, he's not the robot that Romney is.

The reason they thought Christie was being nice was the election next year for NJ gov & Pres Election in 2016. Corrie Booker was also traveling about helping folk & It appears he will run against Christie next year.

I could not find a video of this w/o being a young turks member. I never bothered to subscribe cause I watch him every night.

And one of these days I want to just subscribe to CURRENT-TV & have acess to the entire archive from every show.
