One of my disappointments with Bill Clinton was that he didn't pardon Leonard on his way out of the White House. We need to make sure that President Obama does.

She's doing a paper on the Trail of Years and the 1830 Removal Act. I told her how the effects are still being felt today. And I told her Leonard Peltier is sitting in a cell this very minute.

I hope Obama pardons him. 39 years is a long, long time.

Their soil has turned almost unusable, with only several sporadic crops that can grow on it, most of their farm animals died or were forced to sell due to debt payments. The one crop that would thrive is industrial hemp and they got raided multiple times, right before harvest, threatened with imprisonment. Their crime, infringing on foreign trade deals, since industrial hemp is leagal to import and sell, just not to grow.

Now, you're on this uranium kick, trying to claim it's from the dumpsite, when really it's in the mountain.

http://marcellus.com/news/id/12385/8-billion-worth-rare-earth-minerals-sierra-blanca-area-mountain-company-says/

Kiss goodbye that mountain...

Texas Rare Earth Resources holds two state leases to explore and develop a 950-acre rare-earth minerals deposit in the almost mile-high Round Top Mountain, located eight miles northwest of Sierra Blanca and about 85 miles southeast of El Paso.

The minerals are called rare, not because they are hard to find, but because they are found in small concentrations that are difficult and often costly to extract from the ground. There are 17 rare earth elements divided into two groups — light, and heavy. The heavy group of elements are in shorter supply and thus considered more valuable, Marchese said.

They’re talking about some low-grade uranium there, which raises some concern about dust, and everything they pull out of there will use an acid wash to purify it,” Doyal said. “I can’t say one way or the other about the operation. I don’t know enough about it.”

That’s why he invited the company to make a presentation at Hudspeth County Commissioners Court on Tuesday.

UTEP’s Pingitore said Round Top has a small amount of uranium, which is found in “virtually any rare earth deposit.

The uranium is a sellable material if we can separate it” from the rock, he said.

I support Alex White Plume in specific and the legalization of cannabis in general. Hemp is a readily sustainable source of fiber for paper (saves trees), for fabric (needs much less water than cotton) and many other uses. Still has nothing to do with what happened 43 years ago.

Right now, you come off as a bit foolish in your comments!

This was both Federal Republicans and Democrats who effed over the Native Americans and Latinos there.

They were forced into repurposing their land so they could survive.

Still the Native Americans are getting effed over on Obama's watch!

There's no decade's long backstory as to the government actions in that region.

There's no backstory on why that facility was planned and how the people were jammed who lived there.

Just a bunch of supposition articles that a few are grasping onto that has little research, the state of modern news.
