(1,947 posts)But you feel she deserves privilege of my vote. Can she earn it like everyone else has? Doubtful because of trust. It's hard to trust someone who as been on every side of every issue.

(626 posts)Like I heard Stephanie Miller today who supports Bernie staying in the race getting email after email, tweet after tweet, from Bernie fans calling her an establishment troll, that she doesnt support Bernie.
Real ugly shit and lots of it.
It is very childish what the busters are doing.

(45,319 posts)most other States. We vote at a rate two or three times higher than NY, for example. Sadly most Americans who are eligible to vote simply do not bother to do so. On the other hand, that fact makes it easier to find non voters to vote with me. Which is what I do. Which is part of why we have good turnout.
Where do you live?
MineralMan
(146,286 posts)Oregon gets it right. My state also has very high turnouts, the old-fashioned way, but they'd be even higher if we had mail voting and almost universal registration. Sometimes MN beats OR in turnout, but not always.
BTW, the legislation in MN that will shift us from caucuses to primaries for Presidential elections has passed in one house of our legislature and is almost certain to pass in the other and be signed by our Governor.
Maybe after the 2016 election, we can introduce mail voting here, too. I hope so. There was a resolution to that effect in our package of resolutions at the last convention I attended. It passed overwhelmingly.

(626 posts)same group who brainwashes people into believing Hillary is Satan also is preventing people from voting.

Oh, and of course I'll stay home. We have 100% vote-by-mail in Oregon.

(626 posts)You are the victim of 25 years of propaganda.

(454 posts)Or are we going to play this game of shifting goal posts. How about you answer mine or just ask your counter question and cease being coy, it just makes you look like a dick.

(626 posts)the minority groups of America.
If you are bothered of the fact that the Democratic party is hardly liberal at all anymore, join the club.
If you are bothered that Hillary Clinton is the epitome of the insider, establishment candidate, join the club.
If you are bothered that if Bernie loses it was a chance of a lifetime to actually make REAL and BIG changes, join the club.
You want me to go on? I can.
None of this has a damn thing to do with the FACT that NO sane person of any level of intellect or responsibility does not do everything in her or his power to vote against the insanity of Trump.
How in the WORLD can we be debating that?

(14,659 posts)all that money being wasted on politics and how many people that money could be helping, that's my definition of sad.
PFunk1
(185 posts)Because you wont get it by terrifying, shaming, cajoling me or any thing like that. And you wont get it with money. You get it by convincing me that they are worthy of that vote. And so far only Sanders fits that bill.

(504 posts).....but I will vote my conscience, meaning that I will vote for the candidate who is best able to lead us to renewable energy, an economy that works for the people and not the richest among us, and one that will lead us not towards war but diplomacy and peace.
Needless to say, I think most people know which candidate I'm talking about......

(504 posts)How sad it is to continue to gouge students for getting an education.
How sick and sad it is to keep ignoring our horrible healthcare system.
How sad and sick it is that we have gross income inequality.
How sad and sick it is continuing to believe that America is the world's best country, and deserves somehow to be the leader of the free world when people aren't truly free in our own nation.
Seriously?
