2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI'm going to ask this here instead of in the Bernie group because...

I'm looking for responses from Hillary folks:
Why are there so many posts in the Hillary group addressed toward and asking questions of the Bernie supporters when you know in advance that Bernie supporters cannot answer your questions or address your issues in the Hillary group because they've all been banned from that group?
It's very obvious that you are NOT addressing Bernie supporters, and you are NOT asking Bernie supporters for answers. The only conclusion I can come to is that you don't want answers to your questions, you just want to parade those questions around as if merely asking them is some kind of victory.

You didn't answer any of my questions, you just used this as an opportunity to insult me.
Why am I not surprised?

(1,473 posts)They alert and hide whenever any fact is pointed out that they can't just whine
and "win" .
I just got a post hidden for using an obvious exaggeration and they all broke out in faux outrage because Bernie has an investigation at the same time as Hillary's but only she should drop out over the investigation and they can't explain why Bernie is given the usual free pass.
Bernie lost. They can't handle losing.

(1,473 posts)I had joined DU way back in 2003. But when I got my new computer I started reading other sites and eventually forgot my username and password.
I've read here for quite awhile. But even if that wasn't the case, it doesn't take long to figure out what's going on.
Its happening on ever Liberal site. The Bernie fanatics aren't even original. They're just more of the status quo ..which is ironically very funny!
I read Mother Jones also and the Alternet, but don't post. I was a commenter on Raw Story for 7 years until RS started kicking off multiple supporters from both sides ... so I avoided the site. I read Crooks and Liars for a while until they quit posting interesting articles trying to control the conversation and cater to the folks that can't stand any sort of confrontational conversations. Apparently Bernie's supporters cried and whined every day to moderators about being picked on while of course laying it on in thick layers themselves. So I left before I'd be the next thrown off for posting facts to the Bernie supporters....and now here I am
and we have people here who foolishly believe it takes months to figure out what the blabbiest members on a political forum are about

(1,166 posts)I watched a fantastic video of Bernie asking questions and listening at a packed Pine Ridge reservation town hall meeting yesterday night. It is mind blowing to behold actual participatory democracy in action as it is nearly extinct in the USA today. That meeting really threw those Barca-lounger warrior type posts into relief. They're complete and utter nonsense. Flame on pseudo-question posters. What a waste of your energies. Let's hear something about all those wonderful policies of Hillary Clinton's that have won your staunch support!

(7,911 posts)I wish I knew what they were, so that I could make a rational choice. But since only Bernie seems to be explaining policies, he ends up being my choice by default. If Hillary were better, I'd support her. But I don't know if Hillary is better because I don't know what she stands for beyond "It's my turn" and "The FBI's got nuthin' on me."

(2,899 posts)There's this thing called google which can magically take you to the policy pronouncements of any candidate.
For someone who starts a thread about questions you seem to be unable to answer them for yourself.

(24,411 posts)I was banned from that group. I posted a response, not fully understanding that I was in the Hillary Group.
I don't blame them for banning me. The person who booted me out was very kind about it.
However, why would anyone want to see posts from a group to which you cannot reply?
Why even look at those posts?

(40,270 posts)Of course after they booted me they continued trashing me for the rest of the evening.

Buzz cook
(2,899 posts)But I just have to point out that not all Sanders supporters have been banned from the Hillary group. So a Sanders supporter could i theory answer any of those questions.
In practice that rarely happens because the temptation to be combative is too strong for most people.
But back to my header, most of those questions are rhetorical. That is a legitimate conversational form, something you ignore.
Of course some of those questions are looking for bias confirmation. That's something we see on any exclusive forum. But you knew that as well. Or at least I;m guessing you're intelligent enough to know that.
So back at you. Why did you ask the question?

(2,902 posts)The bans here are ridiculous. I have several diehard Hillary supporters as friends that post here, and all have been banned from the Hillary group for not being rabid enough.

(22,215 posts)Of course why bother to post in that group is you aren't wanted? It must be lonely in there talking to yourself all of the time!
