A lot of the new Democrats in 2015 and 2016 are Independents who switched over to our Party to vote for Bernie. You know the ones you guys have been trying to run off.

Any Independent that has joined the party is part of the team.

that is a valid issue. I think its makes sense that Democrats should have a bigger say in who their nominee is. But if an Independent joins the party then that's a different matter.. they certainly are welcome.
