The increasingly desperate demands that Bernie drop out of the race are clear proof that Hillary is an incredibly weak candidate, who cannot secure the nomination despite an initial enormous advantage. Her only hope is that he does drop out, leaving her with no challenger.

It's not over yet. It probably won't be over until the convention.

Are you serious?

Hillary is ahead in votes, ahead in delegates, ahead in super-delegates - and she needs Bernie to "drop out"? Why? If he stays in, how does that change her position in any way? She still has the delegates, she still has the votes, she still has the SDs whether Bernie drops out or not.

So enlighten us all as to how "Bernie dropping out" is her ONLY hope of securing a nomination she's already won.

G'head, I'm ready to hear this explanation ...

She was the presumed nominee a year ago. Why has she not sealed the deal? Is there even a distant chance she is a weak nominee? Or that her very high negatives matter?

What I do know is that the drumbeat demanding Bernie drop out -- which started back right before Super Tuesday -- is clear evidence her supporters are genuinely desperate. She, the original front runner, STILL does not have the delegates to be guaranteed her nomination. Meanwhile Donald Trump, the candidate everyone laughed at and knew that there was no way he would ever be the Republican nominee, is the presumed Republican nominee. Meanwhile, Hillary struggles.

SHE HAS NOT YET WON THE NOMINATION. She does not yet have the delegates to do so. Yes, she might still pull it off, but Bernie keeps on going, a bit like the Energizer Bunny. He's nipping at her heels. He's a vastly better candidate for so many reasons: She lies. She lies about things that are easily fact-checked. She supports war, while claiming to be on the side of women and children. As if they have not died in her wars. She's said she's willing to compromise on a woman's right to choose. She supports a lower minimum wage than her opponent. She tells us that a single payer health care system will never, ever happen, which really means she supports the health care industry that itself lies and cheats and finds ways NOT to pay for needed health care.

I simply cannot fathom how anyone can support her. She has not "moved to the left", but retains her neo-liberal positions everywhere. Fracking. The TPP. She says one thing one day, another thing the next. There is no reason to trust her not to walk back every quasi-liberal position she's ever held. She takes vast sums of money from Wall Street and thinks we'll believe that won't influence her policies if she's President. Some of us are not that stupid.

I will not vote for her in the general election. And DON'T even begin to try to tell me that then if her opponent wins, it will be my fault. She needs to hold positions that make me want to vote for her, and so far, I see nothing worth voting for. It's those who support her, those who overlook her genuine perfidy that will be responsible. Not us who understand who and what she really is, and refuse to vote for a lesser of two evils. I won't vote for an evil candidate ever again. I will vote for someone whose beliefs and policies align with mine, who has a genuine vision for the future I can support.
