Watch Roberta Lange vote herself into power and overule the motions.
NV will be ground zero for the birth of a real third party after last night.

But political parties have rules so I won't expect much from the Sanders Group.

So, I waited 2 hours in the Credentials Committee line (10 people in front of me) to be told I was ineligible to be seated today because I changed my registration from Democrat about three weeks ago when I went on a spur of disgust for the party.

This may sound incompetent on my end, and maybe it's common knowledge, but I didn't know I had to maintain my Democrat registration through this process past the caucuses.

Can someone verify if this is an old rule or something they just made up? They said I had to be registered Democrat by May 1st. After that point, they 'vet' each state delegate on the list to verify they are Democrats.

Rules are rules, but I'd be less disappointed if hadn't wasted 4 (total) hours attempting to fight for Bernie today, when I could have spent an hour or less finding out the same information if the party had their shit together.

I found this on dkos in this diary. http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/05/15/1526581/-Grats-to-Hillary-for-winning-Nevada-7-of-12-today-Hillary-people-showed-up-Also-gets-most-SDs

People were disqualified because they were not registered democrats by 5-1-16 or couldn't prove they lived in NV or where in NV they lived. Those are not fancy new rules designed to disenfranchise people. They are common sense.

from the room." After several calls to order by the chair, that is the next step. Democratic Party Conventions run under Roberts Rules of Order.

An orderly convention is the only type of convention that can function fairly and successfully. It appears to me that a few Sanders supporters couldn't be bothered with the basic rules of order.

It's a pity. Those who cannot function within the long-established rules of the Democratic Party should start their own party, in which they can establish their own rules of order. If they cannot manage that, they should name their party The Anarchy Party and forget about any order at all.

Large conventions cannot function without some rules. The basic ones, from Roberts Rules of Order, have been in place for a very, very long time, and are really not subject to change.

Why are HRC and her supporters trying to create the narrative that Bernie should end his campaign before DEM convention?

Take NV and then this same establishment pile driver, ram it through tactics is used at DEM convention and on national media...

OPTICS will be spectacular and expose to the masses exactly what's been going on within DEM party

Neither candidate will have enough delegates to earn nomination so it will come down to SDs

Buckle up...

"...they did not respond to requests from the party..."

According to the above, numerous attempts were made to verify the accuracy of party affiliation. True? If so, there would be a lot of people pointing this out and complaining about it. But there aren't.

If the really wanted accuracy, they could have simply asked the people to stand on different sides of the room and then count them, as is clear should happen given the unclear nature of the voice vote.

https://lasvegassun.com/news/2016/may/14/at-democratic-convention-in-las-vegas-rules-divide/

Sanders and Clinton supporters were divided over a vote to adopt a set of temporary convention rules as the permanent rules, with the former largely opposing them and the latter supporting them in a voice vote of the convention called by Lange.

mirroring accusations, rather than swindler and swindled

when people point out that it's the Red States that are the drain on the budget--

--they just flip the numbers and start circulating that: it's not just to reassure the Welfare Republicans that the Dems are the Takers after all, but to undermine the actual data by making it look like just a partisan tool
