2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumWow! What a coincidence. Upcoming CA Primary, Boxer Incident in NV
This election cycle has simply been amazing.
So what exactly was a CA elected Democrat doing in NV?
Update: And Nina Turner is NOT an elected Democrat from an upcoming primary state making incendiary comments.

(70,204 posts)Barbara was speaking for Hillary at the NV state convention. So you look foolish posting a nasty post, trying to make a vile issue out of Barbara Boxer being at the convention!!

(92,186 posts)reasonable discussion with some.
Accusations are being thrown toward Hillary and her supporters without any substantiation.
It is a damn if you do and damn if you don't situation. If there is no indictment of Hillary, that will not be accepted by some. They will assume some conspiracy or collusion has occurred. It is really sad and pathetic

(70,204 posts)no evidence needed --and RW crap is allowed.
I agree with you---Hard to believe this is happening a Democratic discussion board!!

(12,689 posts)What does her grandson have to do with anything? It's really creepy to involve family members like this.
...Six degrees of Hillary Clinton! Or a creepy internet stalker game, not sure which.

(70,204 posts)is shameful. Both are Democrats representing their chosen candidates at a state convention.

Boxer was called a "bitch", at that point she can say whatever she wants too.

(4,373 posts)presumably so there would be a national figure supporting each side.
That said, Boxer was appallingly stupid, she stepped into a tense situation and added fuel to the fire. Turner, on the other hand, did a brilliant job of speaking to both sides of the room. And before someone brings it up, Turner herself tweeted that she wasn't booed by Bernie supporters.
riversedge
(70,204 posts)Sanders rude bullies who tried to drown her out as she spoke. You did not see Hillary fans doing that rudeness to Nina Turner. It was shameful of them to do that.

(1,009 posts)Wasn't it supposed to be a conclusion to the activities, on a unifying note? She sure started that way. She only broke into the rah rah Hillary shite only after getting flustered by the booing.
riversedge
(70,204 posts)of them to do that and I am glad that Boxer stood her ground.

(1,009 posts)She started on a unifying note, then devolved unto Clinton rah rah BS which really got the crowd pissed (rightly so)
Was her speech supposed to be addressed to Clinton supporters?

(67,782 posts)....all the time, this is no big scandal.
And there wouldn't have been a "Boxer Incident" in Nevada had the Sanders supporters/delegates learned a little courtesy.
Finally, Nina Turner WOULD have been an elected Democrat had she not lost her last election, an election in which Bill Clinton endorsed her. Funny how that works.
