(507 posts)Had nothing for contempt for the Todd fraud since he was one of Brian Lamb's favorites on C-Spin. If anything, he's worse now.

(15,027 posts)I remember him clearly from CSPAN, and he was not bad then.
In fact, his affect always seemed more positive when he reported good news for democrats, I think he was at the time a progressive.
He VERY quickly went corporatist when he got his MSNBC break, and now has advanced to the stage where he clearly has disdain for democrats. THAT is the protocol to be in the innner media circle - good news Rs/bad news Ds. And, like the Halperins of the world, a dismissive and snarkyness comes out when talking about democrats.
End of the day, the bigger your paycheck, the more you align with the signature on that paycheck.

(18,876 posts)I don't want his or any other newsreader's opinion. I want them to simply read the news and STFU. And maybe ask tough questions of people who are actually qualified and knowledgeable about things, but I don't want to see the camera pan to the newsreader's face for an expression, and I don't want to hear their unqualified opinion. Ever.

The Political Correspondent/Commercial Shill for NBC News? He is awful.

(4,892 posts)He is just a whore that wants to push the idea the race is close because a close race makes it more exciting for pundits and means better ratings
He has said many times when they boil down all the swing states that rMoney is going to lose, He will spend 59 minutes talking about how close it is and then 1 minutes saying rMoney has no path to victory
Just today he said he thinks FL will go BLUE
if FL goes BLUE rMoney is done

(25,415 posts)He has said in the last minutes of his shows that he thinks Obama will ultimately win. Talked about Obama's firewall in OH, IA and WI.
He is a total hack however and wants ratings so he makes it sound like a horse race. Hacks are pretty annoying but the right wing media types are way worse.

(8,064 posts)This isn't a matter of someone reporting the news and i just don't like the news.
It's a matter of the news being spun into something other than the truth.
And chuck todd is a master spinster, saying things like Romney is trying to "expand the map"
and not bothering to mention that not only does romney have literally NO chance of
successfully doing that, but romney doesn't even have states he needs, like VA, NC and FL
locked down.
his bullshit about how romney will either win big or lose big is a complete lie. none of the
polls show romney with a lead in the majority of the swing states. romney barely has a
lead in NC and that is IT. Obama has substantial leads in OH, MI, NV, NH, PA and he's tied
in VA, FL and CO. It's not a matter of whether Obama will win. It's a matter of by how much.
