Nevada Caucuses 2008 vs 2016

Three rounds:
1. Precinct Caucuses
2. County Conventions
3. State Convention

Nevada 2008:
1. Clinton 50.8% / Obama 45.1%
2. Clinton 51.1% / Obama 48.9%
3. Obama 55.0% / Clinton 44.8%

Nevada 2016:
1. Clinton 52.6% / Sanders 47.3%
2. Sanders 55.2% / Clinton 44.8%
3. Clinton 50.49% / Sanders 49.51%

As you can see, Obama steadily increased his percentage in 2008 and eventually won the state. In 2016 Clinton lost ground substantially during the county conventions and regained it at the state convention.

He was a community organizer, it is a helpful skill. And he did not push ideas that really scare the powerful, like breaking up large institutions and raising minimum wage.

Sanders, though active with the Democrats for a long time in politics, does not really seem to be good at making connections. Nader spoke about this once. He said Sanders does not have good "political antenna".

get behind. This is Bernie Sanders' fatal flaw as far as the (corrupt) Democratic Party infrastructure is concerned: he is not funded by banks and corporations and quite overtly excoriates them in public. That is a huge problem for the political status quo maintained by both parties.

they should be afraid of, it's us. What they did in Nevada is really going to cost them. It was the stupidest move I've ever seen any campaign do.

Potentially all of them. We will see what is said by the DNC and Hillary campaign in the next couple of days but so far - crickets - and crickets allows a slanted description in the media to be used to beat Sanders delegates and his online supporters over the head. The longer the silence the greater the damage. If she ends up as the nominee she needs Sanders voters and what happened in Vegas is causing her to lose more of us. As James Carville said the other day - Hillary needs Sanders more than he needs her. Evidently whoever has Hillary's ear is not telling her this or she is not listening because they are BLOWING IT.

Just saw this formal complaint that was filed by the NV Democratic Party in a Hillary thread. The NV Democratic party is certainly no longer silent but they just added fuel to the fire. Unbelievable. Now the pyrrhic victory is complete.

It tells me that they are either feel completely secure and needed to send a message to us all...or they are terrified beyond reason of something and felt the need to drag out a win by any means.
