Obama was definitely someone that corporations and banks could (and did)
get behind. This is Bernie Sanders' fatal flaw as far as the (corrupt) Democratic Party infrastructure is concerned: he is not funded by banks and corporations and quite overtly excoriates them in public. That is a huge problem for the political status quo maintained by both parties.
