Still looming....
Shaky Foundations
The Clintons so-called charitable enterprise has served as a vehicle to launder money and to enrich family friends.
By Ken Silverstein
After endless delays and excuses, the Clinton Foundation released its 2014 tax return as well as amended returns for the previous four years and an audit of its finances. That fulfilled a pledge made last April by Clinton Foundation acting CEO, Maura Pally, who acknowledged that the foundation had previously made a few unfortunate accounting mistakes.
Journalists are going to be scouring through this new financial information and pumping out balanced stories that evade what is already evident, namely that the Clintons have used their foundation for crass profiteering and influence peddling.
If the Justice Department and law enforcement agencies do their jobs, the foundation will be closed and its current and past trustees, who include Bill, Hillary, and Chelsea Clinton, will be indicted. Thats because their so-called charitable enterprise has served as a vehicle to launder money and to enrich Clinton family friends.
It is beyond dispute that former President Clinton has been directly involved in helping foundation donors and his personal cronies get rich. Even worse, it is beyond dispute that these very same donors and the Clintons political allies have won the focused attention of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton when she served as Secretary of State. Democrats and Clinton apologists will write these accusations off as conspiracy mongering and right-wing propaganda, but its an open secret to anyone remotely familiar with accounting and regulatory requirements for charities that the financial records are deliberately misleading. And not coincidentally, those records were long filed by a Little Rockbased accounting firm called BKD, a regional auditor with little international experience. <snip>

(3,133 posts)And I'm pissed! Do you not understand this? It appear the middle has paid us to fight a war for them....(200 troops just put on the ground in Yemen, 1 day after 250 more into Iraq!)
That is the people's money to fight a war, but it went to the Clinton's for profit foundation! Will the Clinton's fund the VA? Will they pay for the boots, gus, ammo, and the rest? Why would the money go there?
Now do tell me.....just how much will they be representing us, after taking 100 million from middle east leaders? I'll tell you....they can't!

(115,674 posts)And Harper's is anything but a right-wing publication. Silverstein has also worked for Mother Jones, Washington Monthly, The Nation, Slate, and Salon. He did get himself fired from The Intercept, edited by Glenn Greenwald, Laura Poitras, and Jeremy Scahill, who are also not right-wingers. Silverstein was accused of sloppy fact-checking, so there's that. But he's clearly not a right-winger in any sense of the word.

(3,133 posts)Chelsea could have told many great stories about her parents, enduring stories. I heard them when I heard Bill speak privately. But they sent her out to lie about Bernie. Again I ask, what parents do that? THIS is where my mother who is 89 bailed on Hillary. She is a mother and said YOU DON'T DO THIS.

Please be so kind as to back up your rebuttal to this article and the items within it that are false. It's 6 months old because this isn't an overnight Investigation.

The next best thing to a real scandal is a phony one.
How many millions of dollars have been spent to bring this couple down with nothing but a sex scandal to show. What don't you get? Where's a fucking shred of proof of conspiracy, crookery.
Its in your mind because her enemies planted it there.

(13,877 posts)like glue. I think it's setting up for a GOP victory, myself.
Let her get the nomination...shoot herself in the foot a few more times...wither under Trump's barrage she's seen nothing like and these "facts" will continue to come out as a dropped shoe by dropped shoe...and blow the GE.
The Vast Right Wing Conspiracy has nothing on Trump's angry mano-a-mano blistering tactics. Most of Trump's baggage he has put out there, and the Repulicans still love him.
But I see The Clinton Foundation Pay for Play will likely surpass Emailgate.
I wish she were clean, I really do, because I think she has many things that qualify her for President. But I can wait for the first female president to be one who can be a role model for not only Progressives, but young girls. She does not qualify for that particular role.

(146,286 posts)you've run out of actual information to present, I think. This block from last November is an opinion by a blogger, not an actual analysis of anything. Yet, you post it as if it were actual factual material, rather than the heavily-biased screed that it really is.
It's too late and too little. This primary race is almost over, and the outcome is pretty darned clear. In less than a month, this website is going to undergo a major change, since it will be 100% certain who the Democratic nominee will be. At that time, it's very unlikely that the current amnesty for people with long lists of hidden posts will continue, I imagine.
I'm sorry that you're disappointed in how the primary race is going. I hope you'll be able to find it in you to think about the consequences of a Trump presidency would be, and vote in November accordingly. If not, you'll be disappointed once again, I'm certain.
