California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Arkansas, Florida, Tennessee, Kentucky, West Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire, and American Samoa. Technically, Michigan as well, but Obama was not on the ballot, and Michigan did not count in the end.

This year, she took:
Iowa, Nevada, South Carolina, Alabama, Arkansas, Texas, Georgia, Massachusetts, Tennessee, Virginia, Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida, Ohio, Illinois, Missouri, North Carolina, Arizona, New York, Delaware, Connecticut, Maryland, and Pennsylvania so far.

She picked up a fair amount of states this year that Obama won in '08.

And of course, we're still waiting on Kentucky, Oregon, California, North Dakota, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, South Dakota, and DC.

4. Yes, I put FL on the won list, but you're right.

The Florida Democratic Party decided that they were gonna change their schedule to vote first in the primary. The DNC said "if you do that, then your votes won't count". FL said "we're gonna do it anyhow". I didn't vote in that primary because of it (I'm a Floridian). Quite a few candidates weren't even on the ballot (although both Clinton and Obama were). In the end, I believe Florida's delegates did count, but I honestly can't remember.

The delegates were originally stripped for FL violating the rules of the party, but were later reinstated with only half their worth.

I sat FL out because I was for Kucinich, and he decided to not be on the ballot after FL changed their dates, in violation of the DNC rules.

9. Primaries are not the same as general election voting.
Tue May 17, 2016, 10:52 AM
May 2016

Primary rules are made by their respective parties. There is nothing in the Constitution or it's amendments with regards to voting in primaries. The parties are private organizations, and are subject to those organization's rules and bylaws. Think of it like a union, or a club.

The general election is a whole different beast.

Anyone can join one to reap the benefits, like Bernie did.

The right to vote for President is still a right. But the primary is NOT voting for President, it's electing a CANDIDATE to represent the PARTY in the run for President. Like I said, think of it as a union or a club. You don't have to join one, but there are perks if you do.

16. The Florida thing was the fault of the Florida Democratic Party not adhering to the rules.
Tue May 17, 2016, 12:36 PM
May 2016

So the people of Florida were fucked. It wasn't the fault of the DNC, it was the fault of the FL Dem Party willfully violating the rules.

That's the only circumstance in recent years that I can think of something like that happening. It benefited Obama, though.

She needs to get out of the race. She is under an FBI investigation, according to Comey. Not an inquiry, and he's never ever heard their work portrayed in such a way. Hillary lied at the debate to millions watching. Old hat for her!
