My thoughts on "violence" and seeking change

Nobody here is advocating for a violent overthrow of the government, certainly not me. But this notion that Sanders supporters are crazed people seeing to assault and attack those who disagree with them is just the latest effort by the Clinton side to make us all look nuts and marginalize us.

I have a question though.. Which of these violent protests and illegal acts do you have a problem with.....

- Tarring and feathering British tax collectors
- Throwing tea into Boston harbor
- Nat Turner's rebellion
- John Brown's raid on Harper's Ferry
- The Underground Railroad
- Women subverting the law and attempting to vote during the suffrage movement
- The burning of draft cards and public protests during Vietnam

Just curious.... Because these people were "crazed" also right? Some people were even hurt during these acts. They must all be loons and ancestors of the Bernistas.

NO... People got up off their asses and said ENOUGH OF THIS SHIT.... And while some of you live in a perfect world where it rains candy and popsicles, some of us are tired of what has been going on.

There was a time where a candidate like Hillary Clinton would be considered "The Man" or "Working for the Man"...(Please excuse the obvious gender incongruity). The Man was the establishment. And quite frankly, many of us are damn tired of the establishment taking care of their own and leaving us with the scraps.

I am a beneficiary of the Affordable Care Act. I cannot afford the prescriptions written and the physical therapy I need on my shoulder. So how is that helping me. How is helping the other 29 million people who cannot even gain access? One issue, many people angry.

Point being, the righteous (who lectured us all Primary season that "privilege" is why we would consider Bernie or Bust, etc.) contempt shown to those who want change in this country is leading to a call to action.

Much like those acts listed above, we are tired of this shit. And some people are taking action. Judge them all you want. As I said, I don't advocate violence (especially not the violence against women we saw from one side this weekend). But there comes a time when the people will have finally figured out how fucked up our government is (Democrat and Republican) and you just may be able to add them to the list of those who created social and governmental change by using the means necessary.

The Sanders campaign/movement will not end when he is defeated. Something larger is afoot and the continued ignorance of it is alarming. Quit marginalizing us and talking down to us. Some people can take it and will keep pressing on with their lives. Others cannot and will not. Just don't act so surprised when it starts happening.

N.B.. While at work I tend to ignore conventions of grammar and type straight through. My apologies in advance.

Those who staunchly support the establishment's "status quo is the way forward" cannot see the irony in that. They have what they need so there's no reason to change anything. We have two very dangerous candidates and one who sees how to make life better for everyone. But if you cannot see beyond the tip of your nose, you are hopelessly lost in the fog.
