Wow--so Sanders had the opportunity but walked away. NOT good optics!
TWEETS:
@dnahealthnut Seems like Sanders had the perfect chance to publicly condemn the dangerous behavior of his fans but instead walked away!

(50,130 posts)He may have a right to be angry. Stupid questions about stupid contrived "scandals". He wants to talk about issues. You people want to stop him from that, apparently.

Good for him. Funny how even villainy thinly veiled with denial is so preferable to nauseating hypocrisy.

(42,862 posts)... to avoid having to condemn the actions (and upset his base supporters). But he WALKS AWAY from the question and says NOTHING?
Wow. That just confirms what many of us have known about him all along. He's just not presidential. He's shown us this side of himself many times during the debates, and during various interviews (the first one with Judy Woodruff still stays in my mind) and now, when given a golden opportunity to prove us wrong, he instead proves us right.
(Alerter: These are my personal observations and my personal opinions.)

Andrea Mitchell commenting on Sanders walking away "I guess he said they'd have some reaction later". Seriously? Does he needs his consultants for this? Can't he think on his feet?
See? It does exist.

(28,317 posts)SBS (Jeff Merkley) compared the followers at that convention to Republicans and called their actions "thuggery" today on CNN. The twisted logic employed by some here is an attempt at self-preservation for their weakened and weary minds. Too much math, too many facts, too much before their eyes that does not fit into their schema. Some of them come up with so many wild, tangential, frankly nutso conspiracy theories to save themselves from the fact that their candidate simply was not chosen by the voters.

Would have liked to see some real hell raised over the Iraq war.
