And he would be an out of control president where it will be impossible to admit he made a mistake. Bernie is ending his campaign in the shadow of violence and disgrace.

(38,613 posts)How did I miss the violence?
Renew Deal
(81,844 posts)Loud cursing, shouting, obscene gestures and vile insults, including crude comments about the female anatomy. It was all on display over the weekend as supporters of Bernie Sanders turned the Nevada State Democratic Convention into chaos.
<snip>
After Sanders supporters thought the convention was being shut down prematurely, loud shouting ensued and there were reports of chairs being hurled. The phone number and address of the chairwoman of the Nevada Democratic Party, Roberta Lange, was posted on social media -- prompting a flood of more than 1,000 calls, angry voicemails, text messages and even death threats.

(3,146 posts)For someone who's been here as long as you have, it's disappointing to see you getting caught up in the bullshit propaganda. I came here in 2004 to get away from that type of stuff and now it's all I'm seeing. I would expect it from one of the people that just signed up in the past few weeks. But you've been here since 2003. I would expect more.

(81,844 posts)Believe it or not I feel the same way. I hate arguing with long time DUers. Anyone that survived the 2004 primary deserves a medal. But I have felt under attack on this one.
I don't mind slugging it out with the newbs. The funny thing is that many of us were on the same side in 2004 or 2008 and probably will be again in the future.
I think the difference this time is a loss of respect.

(3,146 posts)I just don't get what Hillary supporters see in her. I mean, to me, she just seems like the antithesis of anything we would have ever wanted in a candidate. I was a Dean, Clark, Kucinich supporter in 2004 and not a Kerry fan. But it wasn't a tough switch to get on his side because he seemed like a nice person, just a little too wishy washy. The Clintons just seem like a corporate version of what they think we're supposed to like and be attracted to and it really bums me out. I can't see them getting a lot of people to coalesce if and when this is said and done.
I don't want to battle with you per se.
