First, to begin with, the alleged statements made by Bernie supporters would be nothing compared to the death threats, racist and sexist statements made by Trump supporters and Trump himself. Second, the Bernie campaign should sue for defamation or liable, because there is no way that a true Bernie supporter would make the alleged statements. Since when did Salon become a right wing, corporatist mouth piece?

Sanders is a politician. That means it's his job to get people to feel a certain way about him. He's fairly good at it.

He is not your spirit animal. He's not an avatar of justice leading the Forces of Good. He's a politician with a schtick who realized that this year that schtick would poll very well, so he ran, and came fairly close considering his lack of institutional support. He has used his skills as a politician to attract the support of some groups of people. Some of those are good people, and some are less good people, just like with any political campaign.
