First, it was not "Russia", it was the USSR at the time and it was on city business as mayor. Everything he did and said is public domain. What are they hiding? They use Turbo Tax. It takes literally minutes to log in and print/download any prior year. The only reason to withhold them is that they are either using it as a bargaining chip or there is something in there they don't want people to see.

Traditionally, taxes returns are released at the convention, not before and if at all.

Further, if Sanders and his wife are doing their own taxes, you can be sure they aren't swimming in cash or finding loopholes. Clinton, on the other hand, will need a small army of tax preparers and lawyers to do their taxes because they are very wealthy. Indeed, some of us would like to know if they came upon that wealth in ways most of us would think legitimate. It's an honest question that you find hard to understand, I know.

Frankly, I really don't need Clinton to release information on what she said in her speeches. Corporations aren't going to pay her big bucks to tell them anything they don't want to hear. In fact, she'll do nothing about Wall Street -- just as she always has. She'll certainly remain true to her past. So, those boring speeches are really a way to fund her campaign without having to worry about campaign finance regs and to pay, in advance, for her service to them.

So blathering on about Sanders' tax returns, repeatedly on DU, is ridiculous. The fact is that he's about as clean as a candidate will get and Clinton. . . is not.
