Hillary’s Strategy Revealed: Provoke Anger

DU member arendt’s amazing post “You are witnessing the first Stochastic Smearjob” is extremely important and we need to take his message seriously.

Thus far, the actions of Hillary’s strategists have been unfathomable to Bernie supporters. They wonder how HRC is going to unify the party by insulting and alienating us.

Now we understand the strategy. For me, this realization has changed how I feel and respond to posts on DU. I urge you to join me seeing what is happening clearly, and to adopt an inner quiet and steely determination as we move forward.

The pro-Hillary posts that we’ve been reading are purposely designed to be dismissive and condescending. They are designed to make us snap. They need us to make big mistakes, because HRC is so weak that she has little chance of winning fair and square. Their dirty tricks are her only chance.

They’re praying for some kind of media events to shore up their narrative. Let’s maintain an extremely courageous, calm, determined and professional attitude. Let’s disappoint them.

We don’t have to worry about proving that HRC and her organization are deceitful liars. They are. We don’t have to worry about proving that the media are siding with HRC. They are. We don’t have to worry whether Roberta Lange is just an innocent bystander doing her job. She’s not.

If you are still shocked that the media are capable of such unfairness, it is time to stop internalizing the outrage, and look at what is happening with emotion-free neutrality, like a scientist studying a complex molecule. The system has certain inputs and outputs. What we are seeing is explained by Noam Chomsky’s book Manufacturing Consent.

A sense of inner calm is going to be crucial moving forward, because the dirty tricks are going to get worse. We need to clearly understand David Brock’s goals and be ready for what comes. Do not be surprised by what comes next. Anticipate it.

I see us going into the democratic convention with professional steely intelligence backed up by a big heart. This isn’t so much about Bernie as it is about us. Win or lose, they cannot take away who we are. And we’re not going anywhere. If HRC wins the nomination this time, we are absolutely coming back next time, with better strength and organization and awareness. We will eventually change this system for the better. Patience.

Today, I saw the DU OP “You are witnessing HERSTORY” which opens with the incendiary “She is winning by each and every measure…” Instead of getting pissed off, I saw clearly that this was just the latest in a long list of manipulative slights intended to provoke.

Now I understand the machine. And I’m not biting.

the best way of solving numerous problems.

violence WILL be instigated.
those will be folks working for the billionaires and their private prison profit margins.

non-violent advocacy or protest is essential.

anyone provoking something else is trying to screw ya good.

Don't forget that the hrc supporters are also targets of these tactics. Many of them are being programmed and triggered in a similar fashion, and they don't realize that what "makes them feel good /smug" about posting is what has been engineered to provoke a response. The "I'm with her" is a perfect example of they type of viral meme that has taken root in supporters and is triggering a lot of their click-bait posts.

Don't take the bait. Their arguments are emotional and not logic - with responses twisted to meet their particular believe system. Tune it out as noise.

But other than that, I just can't see why pissing everyone off will help her win.

Is she really a Republican who wants to ruin the Democratic party and throw the election to Trump?

Otherwise, how does this benefit her?

She has created a situation where it is impossible for honest, caring people to vote for her, people with principles.

I don't care how much bullying and Trump blaming they come up with, there is no way in hell that people who are being treated like this are going to vote for her.

So what are the plans? Cheat again in the general?

Because Trump knows how to hire people to manipulate central tabulators too.

This is going to be a very interesting general election.

If there is election fraud on the GOP side, no one will be there to defend Hillary.

I'm not really sure why you seem to feel you're entitled to do that with impunity, but all I can say is good luck. No one is going to tolerate any of that.

Yup, let have lots of pics of protesters with bloody heads and reporters hit with batons. Only this will be even better since everyone now has the means to take videos and post them online.

Or the DNC could accept that there will be protesters. Given what the state party did in Las Vegas I doubt they will be that smart.

I actually saw a discussion on Bloomberg last week about the new HRC strategy.

Make Bernie look as crazy dangerous as Trump, so that HRC can swoop in as the "safe" candidate.

And that is exactly what we are seeing, and it is going to involve a lot of ratfucking from them.

Trashing threads is a good option and don't reply to people who are doing NOTHING other than trying to rile everyone up, stir the pot, etc. They will have a rude awakening soon enough.
