still another 7% to report but 56/44 is okay - and maybe another district sweep?!

(2,461 posts)There was only 1 recent poll (May 6/9 - after the news of the registration boost) by Fox that had Clinton up by 15, but according to Maddow last night, they put poll through 2 matrixes, and still came up with the same results. Makes you scratch your head.

(13,877 posts)MSNBC used to be my port in the media storm. No longer. I just hate it that basketball is almost over. Nothing worth watching.

(3,687 posts)Because they canned Schultz? He was a top rated show at the time. Just like Olberman and Donahue were when they got canned.

(13,877 posts)Firing Donahue was a MSM crime. Forgot about him
Olberman. Got under everyone's skin from time to time. Made you think. A real journalist.
Ed Schultz...Mr. Nice Guy Union Supporter.
They lost their political edge...to keep the financial edge.
Oh well.

(1,446 posts)I know that in 2008, those late wins really helped to ease the pain people felt about Hillary's overall loss. Knowing that many people were touched made a big difference in being able to ultimately let go.

(2,461 posts)same. It will be moving on, and not forgotten - as happened in 2008 - but I don't think the next electoral candidate for the Sanders movement will be trying to hang onto Clinton's coat tails, like Clinton is hanging onto Obama's. No disrespect for Obama intended. Just that the path forward looks considerably different in a structural way - not necessarily in basic tenants. However, that could be incredibly different and exciting if Clinton listens and acts on the inevitable progressive trend of the Democratic party. I'm very excited for 2018 and 2020.
