Even if you are so inclined to despise another person's thoughts, sometimes they are right.
To hermitize oneself just traps that person in an echo chamber of bullshit and ignorance.

(19,089 posts)Would you make my grandma with her heart condition listen to political harangues, 'Or shut up ?" ...
'You MUST listen to those people talking mean to you ... if you don't, you are a COWARD ! ...'
I would tell grandma to tell you to take a long walk through a lonely desert ....
And I would tell her to block you ... that she isn't obligated to listen to ridiculous diatribes from mean ass people ...
She and I would smile .... Gone
ContinentalOp
(5,356 posts)But I apologize if I was ever mean to your grandmother and I hope her heart is okay. You might want to make sure that she doesn't go to any caucuses where Sanders supporters are present!

(9,527 posts)It's really hard to claim that the one with the most delegates and the most popular votes is unpopular as compared to the person she's beating.
And before you claim that it's all about open versus closed primaries, please remember than Clinton has won 11 open primaries and Sanders has only won 4.

(12,471 posts)if you cannot court every vote that you can?
That is a recipe for failure as far as I can see.
Then again, I guess it doesn't matter, because Clinton and her crew are now courting Republicans.

(12,471 posts)You know that there are a few bad apples in every crate.
I would tell you about the Hilliary supporters who have threatened Bernistas, but you probably would not listen.
Did you know that a Sanders HQ in Nevada was shot up? Here's a link with video: http://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/police-probe-possible-shooting-at-sanders-office
So with your language and logic, one might think that a Hilliary supporter would more than likely shoot a Bernista.

(2,603 posts)not voting for Hillary is a vote for Trump?
Not gaining support for Hillary is gaining support for Trump.
I'm truly amazed at how short sighted many Hillary supporters are. The GE will need every voter if you want your candidate to take it. Look at the turnouts on the primaries for both parties. The Republicans are blowing the Democrats right outta the water. If you think even one vote can be spared......

(25,699 posts)The damned thing is... it could be so easy to prevent it from even being an issue, too. We're actually pretty easy to please; Unlike some voting blocs demanded of Sanders, we're not asking Clinton to know the ultra-secret special handshake that changes every half hour, followed by a backwards recitation of the "HMS Pinafore" while hopping on one foot without spilling a drop from a glass of water perched on her head.
Here's Bernie Sanders' issues page. All Clinton has to do is loot the shit out of that, with a pledge to support those planks' inclusion into the party platform. Then it's no problem. Doesn't even have to be all, but for fuck's sake, show us she's listening and willing to reach out to her own party.
God knows we see enough of her stretching both hands out to the Republicans, she could extend a hand to us too, don't you think? It's literally the very least she could do to secure her place as #45.

(1,947 posts)But while we are on the subject of blaming on someone else. Who do we blame for Hillary's e- mail and server kerfuffle? Someone other than Hillary, or Hillary? Who do we blame for her support of NAFTA? TPP? Iraq? Syria? Libya? Who coerced her into all these bad policies?

(71,542 posts)The only joy I would have in that scenario is that you all will wounded way worse for way longer...always worse when you are just starting out.

(10,281 posts)Bernie has been taking in a lot of money and causing Clinton to fight against two candidates. The Bernistas have really been more anti- Democratic Party than the Republicans.
So yes, you and Sanders will get a lot of blame if Hillary doesn't win.

(46,436 posts)after almost 12 years here, but the rudeness and taunting of some was tempting me to respond in kind, so I thought it better not to see them. I'm still seeing several Hillary supporters here in your thread and elsewhere, but most of them are the reasonable ones, plus I keep a few for amusement purposes. I hated to have to hide so many, but life's too short to invite so much aggravation.
