2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumPoll: Will there be a debate before the CA primary?
We all know the debate saga.
1) The DNC originally schedules 6 debates.So the question is;
2) Sanders, OMalley, and others demand more debates but DWS refuses.
3) Then as the New Hampshire primary approaches and Clinton is behind in the polls, she suddenly wants an additional debate in New Hampshire.
4) Sanders agrees provided that Clinton agrees to another 3 debates, one each in March, April, and May.
Now that Clinton is on the verge of winning will she honor her commitment to a debate in May (before the California primary).

(975 posts)Since Hillary is going to win anyway, why she should break this simple promise?
If Hillary reneges on her deal then why should I trust her to keep any other promise?

(35,619 posts)...but there was after Sanders kept saying there should be.
If Sanders is persistent about a California debate, then maybe.

(5,356 posts)See, in California we have no internet, no television, no newspapers or radio. I've heard rumor of this magic man from Vermont but as of yet we have no idea who he is or what he stands for. So it's crucial that Californians have a chance to see these two debate before we can make our critical decision that will have absolutely no impact on the race at all.
