Question for Clinton supporters - If Biden had entered the race

would you have remained steadfastly behind Clinton or switched
to Biden? I think people probably have enough knowledge and
familiarity with both politicians to know where they'd stand.

when nobody has responded yet?

That being said, I would still have supported Hillary over Biden. I think Joe is a little too old and gaffe-prone for the presidency.

So you are saying that for you Clinton/Biden are two sides of the same coin
in terms of their general outlook/goals on domestic and foreign
policies? In other words if the two were both running in this race you don't have a preference
they are pretty much redundant?

Do you think Bernie supporters see a difference between these two
or do you think they would both be seen as "establishment" DNC types?

your choices, or even in agreement with some of their key positions.
So what is the core reason you are throwing your support to Hillary?

Also just curious why you are talking about Biden in the future tense?
"I don't know how you'll feel about Biden..."
and "I think we'll see no difference between the two".

How would that work?

Everything you've said so far seems to be simpatico with Sanders.
So scratching my head as to what your concerns are with him.

my first choice for 2016 but that would have been very very complicated. Biden did what was best for his family and the party. I absolutely adore him.

The same goes for O'Malley.

We Democrats are lucky to have many terrific candidates and potential candidates.

However, if Obama could have run again, I would probably still be supporting him. I trust his intelligence, and his knowledge of the constitution, and now he also has tons of experience. Which are also why I preferred Hillary this time around, against M'OM and Bernie: intelligence, knowledge of how things work AND lots of experience. Biden would have been a fine choice too, but he is very gaffe-prone, and the fact is that he did not enter the race, so it's a moot point.

Kindly Old Uncle Joe would be tagged with some handy memes designed to isolate him and portray him as opposed to whatever demographic group the Clinton team determined was politically advantageous.

In fairness, Sanders people would also go after Joe on his policies. But not in the same Machiavellian way.

Biden would be an Establishment Corporatist right along with Hillary according to Bernie supporters. There'd be no "policy" discussion. Just more purity tests and Biden, being a long-standing member of the Democratic party, would fail.

You're right there would be some of that.

But Clinton would have a more finely tuned personalized marketing campaign that "Biden has a problem with AA's (or women or some otehr demographic)" and things like his past plagiarism problem.....Or he'd be subtly portrayed as verging on senility.....Whatever the Brockian memes, it would not be based on actual policies or larger issues.

As others have said, it would have been difficult to find daylight between the two. Biden would have ultimately "gaffed" himself out of the race, although watching him attack Trump would have been entertaining.

They dynamic of the race would have been a lot more interesting, Bernie may well be winning at this point, depending on how long Biden stayed in.
