Regarding Nevada: The top story is the fraud at the convention, everything else is a distraction.

If you find yourself arguing with people whether it's ok to call someone a "bitch" or not, or even the fact that no chairs were thrown, you're losing the forest for the trees. Our focus when discussing the events in Nevada must always be centered on the documentable fact that the convention was a sham, a charade, a parody of democracy. And that the results of that convention are not legitimate.

1. Parody is when 52.6 percent of the people caucus for one candidate

and the other wins more delegates. This happened to Clinton before, when she won the vote in 2008 and Obama came away with an extra delegate, which made me very happy at the time. Caucuses are very often prone to being one big parody, in fact. At least this time the outcome was in line with the vote.

If you don't like them, and think they should be changed, thats fine, but the establishment put them in place, then the establishment broke them. The delegates all acted in good faith.

5. Fill out the forms completely and on time

Then show up:

According to the Nevada Democratic Party, the Sanders campaign had a sizable advantage in delegate slots (2,124 to Clinton's 1,722) going into the convention, but it failed to fill all of those slots — only 1,662 Sanders delegates showed up on Saturday, compared to 1,693 Clinton ones.

Sanders supporters argue that the party refused to credential 64 of their delegates. By comparison, just eight Clinton delegates were disqualified in a similar manner.

Of the 64 disputed Sanders delegates, the party contends, only eight showed up at the convention on Saturday, and six were ultimately seated. The remaining 58 were disqualified, the party claims, either because they were not registered as democrats by May 1st, or because they did not respond to the party's attempts to verify their names, birthdays and addresses.

6. They were filled out on time. Registrations were mysteriously changed. The vote time

was moved up, while delegates were still arriving. The vote was rushed through. The voice vote was called opposite of the actual results. The dramatic scene was set, and the convention was gaveled out as soon as the dirty deed was done. It was all recorded on tape.

7. "The party contends"

This is the same party that tried to do a vote at 9:30 to exclude Sanders delegates, then passed the motion anyway when they lost, so you'll excuse me if I don't believe what "the party contends". The video contends differently, and I find it much more reliable.

16. Clinton supporters weren't even on the list at the county level

when questioned by an impartial Sanders supporter, they tried to eject the person questioning their credentials. They claimed that sharing this info with both groups was somehow a violation. At the precinct level, 200 Clinton delegates had spoiled ballots but were counted anyway. I guess only one side has to follow the rules.

4. I'm sure many Bernie supporters would like that to be true

However, turning on a TV or taking a brief glance at the internet will tell you otherwise. The top story is, and has been since Nevada, the violence, "violence", thuggish behaviour, understandable anger, or however else you want to characterise the behaviour of Bernie Sander's most...um, passionate supporters at the convention and afterwards. Bernie is getting shellacked in the media and they've still got their teeth in it like a dog with a bone.

Personally, while I agree with the media's main point that that behaviour is unacceptable, the glee with which they're beating that dying horse reminds me too much of the most vicious Bernie supporters here, salivating over Hillary indictments and losing the GE to Trump. So I wish everyone would tone it down because the media and DU have both been toxic for a few days.

It's not okay when they don't cover what initiated the uproar.

As I have said before -- Ordinary people get carried away by emotions in crowded situations when they believe their rights or role have been suppressed. It's human nature.

The coverage has been shameful in hyping that side of it while ignoring what caused those reactions.

And anything negative about their opposition even if they have to make it up. They can't handle the truth about this anti-democratic mess they made.

14. Members of the Sanders delegation were not allowed to speak
Thu May 19, 2016, 07:46 AM

but an outsider(who is not a member of the Nevada Dem Party) was allowed to speak. Boxer takes the stage and lectures the Sanders supporters saying that they hate democracy? Her comments should have been directed at Lange not the Sanders supporters. Truly offensive.
