The problem is that it is impossible to be an ideologue and a pacifist simultaneously. A true ideologue does not compromise on their beliefs, so in order for one to govern, there needs to be a dictatorship. A dictatorship is in conflict with pacifism, since there will always be people who disagree with your goals. it is inevitable that an ideological movement will end in rage, because without compromise the objectives of the movement will never be met.
