Here is a Progressive Icon that wiped out her entire legacy in one day.

(2,192 posts)First was what looked like a lot of "mouaaah" throwing of kisses, then this:

(15,798 posts)I'm going to suggest that she was pointing. Based on the shadowing on her hand, the hand is palm down. The art on the wall behind her holds the upright elements that could otherwise be mistaken for a raised digit.
Plus, she's been around a long time, she knows what not to do when cameras a running, don't have to like her to acknowledge that.
Alex4Martinez
(2,192 posts)It's hard to tell, it's fuzzy, but at the end of the video it almost looks like her mouth is saying "Fuck"...

I don't get cable and haven't watched any clips but I'm more concerned about the bullet holes in Sanders' campaign office.

(8,175 posts)What did she have to be afraid of...a little yelling? Nobody was doing anything but yelling and maybe some raised fists in the air. Oh and one raised chair that was never thrown. And I don't know if that happened when Boxer was there. I think it happened after Lange shut things down.

I want what, and who, is best for this country.
If electing a first female president of the United States was my No. 1 priorityand it should have happened decades agoI would go for the best: Massachusetts U.S. senator Elizabeth Warren.
Now, I know youre not arguing for Hillary Clinton over Bernie Sanders. But, I wanted to, even if not necessary, add this comment expressing where I am coming from.
It is time for many Republican and Democratic Party officeholder to
go. No one lasts forever. And we are in a new period for American politics.

(154,021 posts)the only reason they agreed to let Bernie run was... who the hell expected a crazy old Jewish SOCIALIST from Vermont to actually give her a run for her money? Alas here we are... Her behavior in that tape is unprofessional, and makes me wonder what the hell was she offered?

As to travel, sorry, you are wrong there too, but you dont care that you are wrong.
You have an idea that Hillary is the devil and Bernie is perfect and nobody is going to convince you otherwise.
Even when you are talking to a BERNIE SUPPORTER, you expose your newness, for lack of a better word.
You HAVE to be new if you dont understand what I am saying.
When you can make the following statement, you will be progressing:
"Sure, I know Hillary Clinton is part of the problem, part of the establishment that is screwing over the average person, but the answer isnt to hand the whole shooting match over to someone as deadly as Trump, that would be stupid"
When you can say that, you will be on your way to understanding why you vote.
nadinbrzezinski
(154,021 posts)and what I am committed to? Or have been committed to since the age of 14? The problem we are having is bellow... you can't stand it. And I do not think you really know what the word means,. Take heart. Most Americans don't... partly due to our wonderful informative school system.

(154,021 posts)"In times of universal deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act
And one of those truths is that elections in the US are not transparent, or clean and would not pass muster to the standards we require from others, Stalin said it best. It does not matter who you vote for, it matters who counts the votes. So when you reach that state of mind two things happen.
1.- The system, the whole system is not legitimate
2.- You realize it is charade.. so like Mexican elections we had a dedazo, and we will have the modern version of ballot stuffing... central tabulators. We have had this issue since 2000, and both parties give two shits about it.
By the way, in oligarchies, we are one, elections are carefully manipulated and both sides in this case, benefit.
Take heart. as bad as Trump is... I will count on the famous dysfunction and hyper partisanship of the house to stop a lot of it. For the record, they will stop HRC too.

IF you ever get out of the US Media bubble I recommend you watch CNN-I. I did this year, and it was amazing. YOU see same exact fucking reporter from actually a Sanders rally, gave the INTERNATIONAL audience a balanced report, explained the system and as asked by DWS, did not add the fucking super delegates. Mind you, ten minutes later he gave a report to Atlanta that was extremely obvious.
You know what else? While our wonderful heroic media fawned over Trump (and continues to do so), the same reporters called Trump a fascist when talking to international audiences and questioned the sanity of American voters.

passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)And there was NO violence at the convention.
There were some hateful messages sent after the convention because people were pissed at how unfair the chairman was. That is a pretty natural reaction, and it was caused by the handling of the convention. Very poorly done and it was done by people in favor of Hillary, not Bernie. They are responsible.
Barbara Boxer is also responsible for not caring how she came across to the crowd. All she did was piss people off and she knew what she was doing. It surprised me. I thought she was more "polished" than that.
oasis
(49,326 posts)brushing off news reporters when he was asked about his supporters' rowdy behavior was the right thing to do.
passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)It is imperative that the Democratic leadership, both nationally and in the states, understand that the political world is changing and that millions of Americans are outraged at establishment politics and establishment economics. The people of this country want a government which represents all of us, not just the 1 percent, super PACs and wealthy campaign contributors.
The Democratic Party has a choice. It can open its doors and welcome into the party people who are prepared to fight for real economic and social change people who are willing to take on Wall Street, corporate greed and a fossil fuel industry which is destroying this planet. Or the party can choose to maintain its status quo structure, remain dependent on big-money campaign contributions and be a party with limited participation and limited energy.
Within the last few days there have been a number of criticisms made against my campaign organization. Party leaders in Nevada, for example, claim that the Sanders campaign has a penchant for violence. That is nonsense. Our campaign has held giant rallies all across this country, including in high-crime areas, and there have been zero reports of violence. Our campaign of course believes in non-violent change and it goes without saying that I condemn any and all forms of violence, including the personal harassment of individuals. But, when we speak of violence, I should add here that months ago, during the Nevada campaign, shots were fired into my campaign office in Nevada and apartment housing complex my campaign staff lived in was broken into and ransacked.
If the Democratic Party is to be successful in November, it is imperative that all state parties treat our campaign supporters with fairness and the respect that they have earned. I am happy to say that has been the case at state conventions in Maine, Alaska, Colorado and Hawaii where good discussions were held and democratic decisions were reached. Unfortunately, that was not the case at the Nevada convention. At that convention the Democratic leadership used its power to prevent a fair and transparent process from taking place. Among other things:
The chair of the convention announced that the convention rules passed on voice vote, when the vote was a clear no-vote. At the very least, the Chair should have allowed for a headcount.
The chair allowed its Credentials Committee to en mass rule that 64 delegates were ineligible without offering an opportunity for 58 of them to be heard. That decision enabled the Clinton campaign to end up with a 30-vote majority.
The chair refused to acknowledge any motions made from the floor or allow votes on them.
The chair refused to accept any petitions for amendments to the rules that were properly submitted.
These are on top of failures at the precinct and county conventions including trying to depose and then threaten with arrest the Clark County convention credentials chair because she was operating too fairly.
https://berniesanders.com/press-release/statement-nevada/
And in regard to his "walking away from reporters", he was walking away from the same lies about what happened at the convention that all the media have been spreading. It never happened. No violence at the convention. No chairs thrown. No rushing the dias. No threats. Just angry shouting people (who had a right to be angry). And even the threats made to Lange later by social media and phone, where not done by Nevada convention goers, so no truth to any of the fucking lies about Sander's people being violent at the convention.
OF course he walked away from that. He doesn't get into shit like that.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/may/18/nevada-dems-chair-sanders-statement-threats-weak/
See...everyone is repeating this as if it happened at the convention. IT DID NOT. It was a lie started by Ralston and then picked up by all the media.
This isn't about Bernie, or his campaign...although they are trying to turn it into that. It's about a few people who got pissed at what they saw happen in Nevada who did stupid crap. It does not represent Sanders, his campaign, or most of his supporters.
Now, do you want to talk about some of the violence perpetrated against him and some of his supporters by (gee...who might have done it?)...like the gun shot into the campaign office he was in? Like the trashed apartments?
Why is this all onesided? Why is it only Bernie supporters actions that are called on the carpet and blamed on him...but never anyone getting called from Hillary's side?
Gee, I wonder why.
