The Hill: Democrats expect Warren to play peacemaker once primary ends

Democratic senators expect Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) will soon make moves to mollify restive liberals and unify the Democratic Party behind Hillary Clinton.

Several Democratic senators say they have approached Warren about the role she can play, insisting she is best positioned to mend the schism between the Clinton and Bernie Sanders wings of the party.

Warren has a loyal following among the more liberal Democrats who favor Sanders. She has told colleagues she will play the role of peacemaker, but not until after the last major round of primaries on June 7.
“I think Elizabeth can and will be very helpful,” said Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-N.H.), a Clinton backer who spoke to Warren on Wednesday.

“She is very interested, at least in my conversations with her, in doing everything she can to help get the party to unite for November,” she added.

I am sure Warren will soon endorse Hillary and do whatever she can to unite the party to stop Trump and the Republicans.

The question is will the Bernie gang listen to her or throw her under the bus with all the other good loyal Democrats.

Warren would simply be seen as a sellout. Trump and Hillary are really very similar crony capitalists, almost identical in terms of the actual values they hold.

And it will be effective.

Warren has been bashed as of late, albeit lightly, if Warren throws her lot in with the establishment, that'll just make Warren look worse.

But soon, the primary will end. And Warren will endorse Clinton.

And she will not worry about their impotent screams against her.

She's tough enough to handle it.

general are saying "we" and "us" when in reality it is the poster only talking. Often it is one of our resident trolls which is completely meaningless.

Enough people will vote in the General to elect Hillary the 45th President and first female President. Even Repubs are planning to vote for her rather than Trump.

only speaks to the delusions of hillary supporters. Republicans literally see Hillary as an anti-christ type figure, she is seen in worse light than even Obama. Bernie (and Biden) win far more republican protest votes accordingly.

They should have thought about that before they came for us after the Nevada debacle, I've never came for a Hillary supporter personally nor has Bernie or any of his surrogates

Even calls it "great".

On foreign policy she's closer to Clinton than to Sanders (I have no idea why people assume things about her without bothering to look it up; she's not particularly dovish).

..and probably some other Senators (Franken, who is a Clinton supporter, but who has appeal with Bernie supporters, leaps to mind). Any attempt to get Sanders supporters to give their support to Hillary would have to be predicated on Hillary committing to items on Sanders' agenda. The discussions would likely center on what she'd agree to.
