cause he should walk out of the convention with some power within the democratic party.
That power wouldn't translate as well if he changes his affiliation again.

want to go back to being a Senator after 8 years in the White House. He'll be pretty old by then.

Principles are more important than parties. I'll be changing mine back, and voting for the candidates with the best principles.

No matter whether he calls himself a Democrat, Republican, or a Whig, all that matters is how he votes for leader and which party he caucuses with.

... he would remain a Democrat, and be a great one! Recent speeches have him referencing "the Democratic Party" like it's something he's against. Also, to win in Vermont, he runs as an Independent. I say he bolts.
