Beyond the Hyperbole: What Really Happened at the Nevada State Convention

Beyond the Hyperbole: What Really Happened at the Nevada State Convention

The problem was, there was no pattern of violence, much less any actual chair-throwing. This video shows a chair being lifted, before the individual comes to their senses and hugs—not bludgeons to death—the person in front of them. After spending countless hours researching and watching videos, there is not a single shred of proof of these claims, and NPR has even acknowledged that their use of the word “violence” in a recent post was misleading.

Adding ridiculous fuel to the already absurd fire was respected Senator—and avowed Clinton supporter—Barbara Boxer, who made sure to hurry to CNN and share her traumatizing experience at the convention. Boxer—who apparently forgot that cell phones are a thing and the Internet exists—claimed she “feared for her safety” in the “scary situation.” Belying this claim, there’s a video of Boxer walking off stage while smiling and snidely blowing kisses to the Sanders supporters (this after her “speech” in which she said “we” when referring to the Clinton campaign).

So why all the indignant articles feigning outrage at Sanders’ supposedly rabid and out-of-control supporters by the bought-and-paid-for mainstream press? Because that story makes it easier to advance the Clinton Political Machine’s latest narrative—that Sanders and his supporters should do what’s “best for the party” and bow out of the race. Because Kentucky’s incredibly close primary was two days later, and what better way to sway the minds of those on the fence than a tale of sour grapes spinning into wild, uncivilized violence? (Clinton would go on to win Kentucky by a mere .5%.) Because avoiding the issues at the heart of the Democratic split is easier when you keep the populace distracted with sensationalistic stories of violence.

Beyond being yet another troubling example of collusion between the mainstream media and the Clinton campaign, this serves to further illustrate how dangerous the DNC finds Bernie Sanders—and how they are willing to mortgage the future to discredit him, and all his supporters, today.

Yep.

Unlike many of the actual news reporters who were really on site and reached a much different conclusion, did I miss where this poor fellow says he was present? No? It seems he's basing his opinions on the opinions of other people's opinions. In some case he's relying on 2nd and 3rd hand stories, and the reason he's credible is what... he said something nice about Sanders?

Its the whimsical interpretation of events coming from Sanders followers who are frantically trying to create a more favorable perception. Setting aside the instant paranoid response that everyone is in collusion to get you, understand that voters are not watching your videos.

The majority of people are only watching the investigative reporting on their trusted nightly news stations because that remains their as respected and legitimate sources of information. The same can't be said of youtube and the various bloggers who feed the Sanders vanity tour.

the phone calls to Lange are horrible and I hope that they weren't serious. We don't know WHO made them though - it could have been angry Bernie supporters however it could have been people setting them up too.

I am so bitterly disappointed in Boxer. I still think that she has done a lot of good for California, but this will leave a definite stain on her record and that's a damn shame.

Because they didn't understand and/or like the rules and/or the results.

That's all I need to know.
