So Hillarians are now "Gaslighting" Bernie Supporters!

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by azurnoir (a host of the 2016 Postmortem forum).

Calling them "insane" and "delusional" for pointing out the lies and deceptions ("chair throwing", anyone?) directed against them.

Let's be clear about this: Team Clinton is full of manipulators and is now using the tactics of emotional abuse.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gaslighting

Gaslighting or gas-lighting is a form of mental abuse in which a victim is manipulated into doubting their own memory, perception and sanity.[1][2] Instances may range from the denial by an abuser that previous abusive incidents ever occurred, up to the staging of bizarre events by the abuser with the intention of disorienting the victim.

On edit:

Gaslighting thread example one: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512026505

Example two: http://www.democraticunderground.com/12512027540

There are more -- this is a planned tactic of mental abuse.

Sun May 22, 2016, 01:34 PM

...and poll after poll after poll have shown she has little or no crossover appeal, while large portions of the electorate actively dislike and distrust her.

The Democratic Party primary process has been measuring an overly narrow demographic--registered Democrats--only about half of whom support Clinton. In the bigger world--where Independents have become the majority--she does poorly. And that is why Sanders has done so much better in open primaries and caucuses, where wider participation (open primaries) and active participation (caucuses) are encouraged.

Also, "mathematically speaking," Sanders demolishes Trump in ALL match-up polls--has been doing so since January and is doing so NOW--while Clinton has struggled against Trump and is now even losing to Trump.

When you look at "the math," you need to look at all of the math or your conclusions will be invalid. And how about "the math" that hasn't been counting the voters represented by caucus participants (thus giving Clinton a deceptively large "popular vote" vs Sanders), or "the math" in Oregon (the numbers that show a Sanders blowout, that have been suppressed, i.e., NOT reported by the Corrupt Media). Or how about "the math" that has been combining super-delegates with pledged (voted upon) delegates, to give Clinton a super-inflated delegate number, to discourage Sanders voters?

Feel "the math"! The real math, that is.

One thing I am certain of: The business of Democratic Party politics has the currently empowered fearing having to make changes.

When a powerful faction fights against change, they do damage to the party. And they can actually cause the party to lose a winnable presidential election.

Just because one is an amateur doesn't mean they don't play just as hard or even is without significant talent. Sometimes it is just not getting the right break at the right time, didn't have the right tutelage, or just not quite enough commitment to put it above all else.

You may still get called up but in this game, part of being successful is to never admit you're a professional so we won't really know if you make the league or already have or not.

They responded by sticking to the issues and pointing out Clinton's truths - which were taken as 'attacking', sexist!, and all the other crap designed to avoid discussing those actual issues.
