He belives in winning media cycles.

Most thought that strategy would lose him the GOP nomination, it obviously didn't. Can he win the GE like that?

I tend to doubt it. You're dealing with a far larger and more ideological diverse electorate. Turnout is everything, and you can't do that just by dominating the media. If have to identify your voters and get them to the polls.
