by Robert Reich:

'Hillary Clinton said yesterday she wouldn’t debate Bernie ahead of the important June 7 California primary. I can understand her eagerness to have the primaries behind her, but I think this is a tactical mistake. Even if she gets the nomination, she’ll need Bernie’s supporters, and such a debate would have offered her a chance to reach out to them. Instead, her refusal to debate and assumption of the mantle of the Democratic nominee will just further enflame Bernie backers.

Last week she said there was “no way” she would not be the Democratic Party’s nominee. But Bernie defeated her this month in Indiana, West Virginia and Oregon. And even without a debate, she and Bernie are headed into a tight race in California.

What do you think?

By the way, I'll talk about this and other news, and take your questions, in OFFICE HOURS LIVE today at noon Pacific, 3 pm Eastern, here on this Facebook page. Please join me.'

I think this is another example of bad judgment.
