Why do they vote against their own economic interests?

This is a question we have heard for years when wondering why people vote Republican.

Now we have a Democratic Party that backs disastrous trade agreements and foreign worker visas that are disastrous for America's middle class, and other policies that ensure a growing economic divide. Oh the irony.

a little sometimes they turn against those that have less. I think it's endemic in many cases to the human species, survival of the fittest and all of that crap that gets applied now even in the 21st century. They keep thinking those with a little less will take away from those with a little more. The republicans are horrible for this, but it also runs in the democratic party with some. There is far more going on than just political parties. Years ago I would have written a paper on this, but anymore I just observe.

Also some think that the super-rich are going to help them. They are deluded and delusional. Of course in the US of today, one just buys elections. It's become a system that fosters inequalities. Many in the masses still haven't woken up.
