The Hill: Dems discuss dropping Wasserman Schultz

Democrats on Capitol Hill are discussing whether Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz should step down as Democratic National Committee (DNC) chairwoman before the party’s national convention in July.

Democrats backing likely presidential nominee Hillary Clinton worry Wasserman Schultz has become too divisive a figure to unify the party in 2016, which they say is crucial to defeating presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump in November.

Wasserman Schultz has had an increasingly acrimonious relationship with the party’s other presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders, and his supporters, who argue she has tilted the scales in Clinton’s favor.

“There have been a lot of meetings over the past 48 hours about what color plate do we deliver Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s head on,” said one pro-Clinton Democratic senator.

I wonder if this is the bone the Hillary campaign is going to throw to Bernie.

I have my issues with Dean, but he was a great head of the DNC and was all about expanding the Democratic party brand and getting boots on the ground. DWS, even aside from any Hillary favoritism has always represented the worst corporate croneyism of the parties past 20 or so years.

But she's been abrasive and "ugly" explaining her actions as DNC chair, especially during this primary process. I don't find her effective.

You need a master strategist as the head of a politcal party, she just doesnt have the talent for it.

I will alwayd respect her for working her ass off to get obama elected in 2008 after clinton dropped out. But head of thd DNC always seemed to be beyond her abilities

Seems certain Democrats are just saying whatever thoughts they think will put a wet blanket on the forest fire.

They can take their bone and eat it themselves, seriously.
