(651 posts)at factually true statements? I guess we're supposed to pretend that electing our version of Thatcher will somehow change institutional power, decades of stagnating wages, deindustrialization, crumbling infrastructure, and the rest? Should the left in Britain have been giddy about Thatcher when she was elected? Sure sign of progress when a woman can take power and kick workers in the teeth. Wasn't that always the aim of feminism?

(651 posts)that got more money from financial interests than even Clinton did? You think Obama would have been president if he had Sanders' message and wanted to fight those banks like her does? Give me a damn break.

(2,074 posts)Yesterday we see Bernie supporters complaining because Hillary's campaign supported veterans who were protesting Trump, and we heard Bernie surrogate Brother Cornel refer to Brother Bernie and Brother Donald being oh so righteous. And now Brother Donald agrees with Brother Bernie that the system is rigged against Brother Bernie. Every day we see Bernie supporters "pondering" whether Trump is not perhaps better than Hilary, and telling us that Trump is gonna win.
I see a pattern emerging...

(2,571 posts)Then what are Republican primary rules? If we have the same system as the Republicans did Hillary would've been the nominee on April 19. We have proportional delegations the Republicans have winner take all elections.

(90,301 posts)that Donald Trump sometimes has a better handle on objective reality (hard for you all in the ,well funded, bubble you live in) than people like yourself. Who doesn't see the obvious at this point, but people in the bubble like yourself? Sanders is polling way better than Clinton versus Trump and would kill him. He dodged a bullet and is going against a horribly weak, disliked and untrusted candidate. Christmas came early for the fascist, thanks to people like yourself. Sarcastic hand clap.

(32,648 posts)Bernie constantly talks about how he went from being a long shot in the polls to being a true contender, winning 20+ states. How is that possible in a rigged contest? HOW DAMMITT?!
Now Trump is following Bernie's "lead" and piling on. Some of them are so gullible that they'll eat the faux concern right up.

(651 posts)from people backing a corrupt, center-right war hawk running from president by Trump? He means less than nothing to me. What turned me off was her record, her corruption, and her horrible arrogance. He's just acknowledging what everyone outside the bubble sees clear as day. If it's raining and Trump looks up and says, "hey, it's raining", he isn't wrong because of how horrible of a person he is.

(1,182 posts)I don't think the system is a proper conspiracy, but it's undeniable that the primary system hands some big advantages to established candidates. Lots of democrats buy the "He's not a true democrat" line and it influences their behavior. Thousands of people with small biases like that can have some big impacts, such as swaying congressional endorsements or pushing the false "thrown chairs" narrative.

(53,012 posts)He's made no secret about that, so feeding into the persecution complex of the Sanders campaign makes sense. If Democrats are split, Trump may just become president.

(13,218 posts)With it's complicated vote-counting. Can't we just use a simple process and measure the rallies to see what decibel level they reach? Let's mark this , you know, for people that can't hear the tone in my voice.
